    Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices of managing a battery assembly used to power an object are provided to discharge a battery assembly for a safe and long-term storage. A controlled self-discharge of the battery assembly may be initiated when the power to the object is turned off for a certain length of time or the battery assembly is not in use for a threshold length of time. The controlled self-discharge may be terminated if the battery assembly reaches a threshold voltage value or the battery is in use again during the self-discharge.

    Abstract: A hybrid power system comprises a power controller adapted to be in communication with a first power source, a second power source, and a load. The power controller is configured to: control discharging of the first power source without permitting discharging of the second power source to power the load when a power drawn by the load is greater than a predetermined threshold power for a time period; and control discharging of the second power source to power the load when the power drawn by the load is greater than the predetermined threshold power starting from when the time period ends.

    Abstract: A charging control circuit includes a charging unit, a plurality of power output terminals configured to connect with a plurality of rechargeable batteries, respectively, a plurality of switch units each connected between the charging unit and one of the plurality of power output terminals, and a control unit electrically connected with the switch units. The control unit is configured to switch to a first charging mode or a second charging mode, and output, to the switch units, a switch signal corresponding to the first charging mode or the second charging mode. The switch signal causes the switch units to switch on or off electrical connections between the charging unit and the plurality of power output terminals.

    Abstract: A control circuit for controlling a battery core includes a power input terminal electrically connected to the battery core, a ferromagnetic random access memory having a dynamic mode and a non-volatile mode, and a control unit electrically connected with the ferromagnetic random access memory and the power input terminal. The control unit is configured to acquire state information of the battery core and store the state information to the ferromagnetic random access memory, and switch on or off an electrical connection between the power input terminal and the battery core to switch the ferromagnetic random access memory to the dynamic mode or the non-volatile mode.

    Abstract: A system for balancing a battery assembly and related methods for making and using same are provided. The system can obtain a status of a battery assembly with a plurality of batteries. One or more of the batteries can be selected based on the obtained status, and the selected batteries can be balanced. The system, for example, can control active balancing of the selected batteries when the battery assembly is in a static state and control selective discharging of the selected batteries when the battery assembly is in a discharging state. When the battery assembly is in a charging state, selective charging of the selected batteries can be controlled. One or more cells that comprise the individual batteries alternatively can be selected for balancing. A protective circuit can help ensure safety of the balancing. Battery balancing can be energy-efficient and time-efficient. The lifetime of the battery assembly can be extended.
