Abstract: An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) includes a central part, a frame assembly, and a propulsion assembly mounted to the frame assembly. The UAV also includes a servo mounted to the central part. The servo includes a driving apparatus, a control apparatus operably coupled with the driving apparatus, and a sensor configured to obtain operating parameters of the driving apparatus. The operating parameters include operating positions of the driving apparatus. The control apparatus is configured to control the driving apparatus to rotate to a predetermined position and stay at the predetermined position based on the operating positions of the driving apparatus obtained by the sensor.

Abstract: An intelligent battery system and methods for making and using the same are provided. The intelligent battery system can halve a pack of cells and a battery management system. (“BMS”) for providing secondary protection for the pack of cells. The pack of cells can comprise cells with operating parameters such as capacities, voltages, currents, charge/discharge rates and/or lifecycles that are uniform, or different, among the cells. The BMS can comprise a gas gauge, a microcontroller and a MOS switch circuit for managing the pack of cells and providing the secondary protection based on chemical characteristics of the cells and operating parameters of the cells. The intelligent battery system advantageously can include cells that are replaceable. For purposes of storage and/or transportation an of the cells can be dissembled and assembled without affecting the capacity and performance of the intelligent battery.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices of managing a battery assembly used to power an object are provided to discharge a battery assembly for a safe and long-term storage. A controlled self-discharge of the battery assembly may be initiated when the power to the object is turned off for a certain length of time or the battery assembly is not in use for a threshold length of time. The controlled self-discharge may be terminated if the battery assembly reaches a threshold voltage value or the battery is in use again during the self-discharge.
