The flight restriction zones may be generated with one or more flight restriction strips. Flight response measures for an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) may be directed based on a location and/or movement characteristic of the UAV relative to the one or more flight restriction strips. Different flight-response measures may be taken based on various parameters.

Abstract: An electric unmanned aerial vehicle includes a position sensor configured to obtain coordinate information of a present position of the electric unmanned aerial vehicle in real-time, a memory storing coordinate information of a preset position of the electric unmanned aerial vehicle, and a controller in communication with the position sensor and the memory and being configured to calculate a safety electricity amount needed by the electric unmanned aerial vehicle to perform a safety protection command based on the coordinate information of the present position and the coordinate information of the preset position, compare the safety electricity amount with a present remaining electricity amount of a battery of the electric unmanned aerial vehicle, and perform a safety protection command if the present remaining electricity amount is not greater than the safety electricity amount.

Abstract: A system and apparatus for data recording and analyzing operational data and methods for making and using the same. The apparatus can monitor and record data generated by a plurality of operational and extended sensors each positioned on a moving platform. The data recording and analysis system can analyze the sensor data during movement and, by performing a statistical analysis of the operational data, can advantageously adjust one or more selected performance capabilities of the platform. The performance envelope of a platform can be increased or decreased according to the experience of an operator. The recorded data can be transmitted at any suitable time, including during and/or after travel. The apparatus provides redundant storage capability and the ability to store information on removable media to enable sharing of data. Thereby, the system, apparatus and method advantageously can optimize the operator's overall experience controlling a platform.
