    Abstract: An apparatus for housing an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) in or on a vehicle includes a landing connection component configured to form a connection between the UAV and the vehicle when the UAV is landed in or on the vehicle, and a cover movable between a plurality of positions to permit the UAV to take off and land in or on the vehicle. The cover includes an antenna or a satellite dish integrated thereto. An orientation of the antenna or the satellite dish is adjustable for tracking a motion of the UAV when the UAV is in flight.

For example, a method includes receiving, by a processor, an indication that an information system of a vehicle is activated and in response to receiving the indication, generating, by the processor, a signal based on the activated information system of the vehicle.     Abstract: An imaging system for adaptively generating panoramic images and methods for manufacturing and using same are provided. The system includes an imaging device configured to capture digital images at a plurality of image capture positions. The system further includes a processor configured to identify an overlapping portion of first and second images captured at respective first and second image capture positions, determine a stitching position quality measure for a plurality of stitching positions in the overlapping portion of the first and second images, and select a stitching position based on the determined stitching position quality measures of the plurality of stitching positions of the first and second images. The processor is also configured to stitch the first and second images together at the selected stitching position to generate a panoramic image and determine a third image capture position based on the stitching position quality measure.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a method and apparatus for generating a high dynamic range image (HDRI). After acquiring a first illuminance diagram, a base layer and detail layers are extracted from the first illuminance diagram, where the base layer contains low frequency information of the first illuminance diagram and the detail layers contain high frequency information of the first illuminance diagram. The dynamic range of the base layer is then compressed while dynamic ranges of the detail layers remain uncompressed. Further, a second illuminance diagram is generated from the first illuminance diagram by fusing the base layer with the compressed dynamic range and the detail layers, the second illuminance diagram is mapped onto a plurality of preset color channels; and the images on the plurality of preset color channels are fused into the HDRI. Therefore, the detail information in the original illuminance diagram can be preserved.
