    Abstract: A display device includes: a display panel which displays an image with light and a drive unit which is electrically connected to the display panel and drives the display panel. The drive unit includes a drive circuit board and a drive circuit film. The drive circuit board overlaps the display panel, generates a drive signal to drive the display panel and defines a receiving hole therein. The drive circuit film electrically connects the display panel to the drive circuit board and is bent from the display panel toward the drive circuit board. The drive circuit film includes a driver chip which provides a control signal in response to the drive signal from the drive circuit board. The driver chip is received in the receiving hole defined in the drive circuit board.

    Abstract: A method for manufacturing a display device includes providing a first display device assembly comprising a display module, a first window disposed on the display module, a first window adhesive layer disposed between the display module and the first window, and a first protective layer disposed on the first window. The first protective layer is removed. The first window is removed by providing an acid solution on the first display device assembly. A second window is provided that is disposed on the display module after the first window is removed. A second protective layer is provided that is disposed on the second window after the first protective layer is removed.

    Abstract: Disclosed is display device that includes a display panel including a display surface shaped in a curve. The display surface is defined at an upper side of the display panel. A backlight unit is disposed at a lower side of the display panel. The backlight unit includes a light guiding plate bent along the bending axis. The light guiding plate includes an exit surface parallel with the display surface. The backlight units include a back surface facing the exit surface, and a plurality of connection sides connecting the exit surface with the back surface. At least one of the connection sides defines an incident surface. A circuit board is bent along the bending axis. A plurality of light emission units are electrically connected to the circuit board.
