Abstract:
A method of driving a display panel is proposed. The method includes determining whether an input image data represents a video image or a static image, determining whether an image transition occurs in the input image data when the input image data represents the static image, and inserting a plurality of image sticking compensation frames between normal frames in a low frequency driving when the image transition occurs in the input image data between the normal frames. The number of the image sticking compensation frame may be properly adjusted during a cycle of low frequency driving.
Abstract:
An organic light emitting display device includes a display panel including and a plurality of pixels, a gate driver configured to a normal gate signal and an alternative gate signal to the pixels, a data driver configured to provide a data signal to the pixels, an emission control driver configured to an emission control signal to the pixels, and a controller configured to control the gate driver, the data driver, and the emission control driver. Each of the pixels is driven by the normal gate signal in a first driving mode and is driven by the alternative gate signal in a second driving mode. A threshold voltage of a first transistor is compensated in the first driving mode and the threshold voltage of the first transistor is not compensated in the second driving mode.
Abstract:
A display apparatus having an edge determiner configured to determine an edge area of the moving object based on moving direction and moving speed corresponding to the moving vector. The display apparatus also includes a gamma output controller configured to output normal high data of a high gamma curve and normal low data of a low gamma curve as gamma data of input data corresponding to a remaining area except for the edge area, and to output enhanced high data of the high gamma curve and enhanced low data of the low gamma curve as gamma data of input data corresponding to the edge area, in both time division method and space division method based on a spatiotemporal sequential pattern.
Abstract:
A horizontal line driver providing a scan signal to scan lines, and including: first scan signal output blocks providing the scan signal to scan lines in a first side display area, wherein each of the first scan signal output blocks include a first output buffer; second scan signal output blocks providing the scan signal to scan lines in a first front display area including curved edges, wherein each of the second scan signal output blocks include a second output buffer; and third scan signal output blocks providing the scan signal to scan lines in a second front display area. Each of the third scan signal output blocks include a third output buffer. The width of the first front display area is larger than a width of the first side display area but is smaller than a width of the second front display area, and the width gradually increases.
