Each pixel electrode comprises a plurality of domains successively arranged along a second direction substantially perpendicular to the first direction, and further comprises branch electrodes positioned within each domain to be inclined with respect to the first and second directions, the branch electrodes of two domains adjacent to each other in the second direction being arranged in alternating manner.
