Abstract: An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a display panel, a display driver integrated circuit (DDI) that drives the display panel, a first connector that is connected to the DDI and that includes a first display pin and a second display pin, the first display pin and the second display pin being connected together, a substrate, a second connector that is connected to the substrate and coupled to the first connector and that includes a first board pin and a second board pin, one of the first board pin and the second board pin being connected to a resistor, and at least one processor mounted on the substrate and configured to determine at least one of a coupled state of the first connector and the second connector or a state of the DDI, based on a signal received from the first board pin or the second board pin.

Abstract: There is disclosed an electronic device including a display panel including one or more pixels, one or more gate drivers receiving electric power from a first power supply, and a display driver integrated circuit configured to drive the display panel. Any one of the one or more gate drivers is connected to a first pixel of the one or more pixels, the display driver integrated circuit includes one or more source drivers including a first source driver and at least one protection circuit connected to the first source driver, the first source driver includes one or more amplifier circuits receiving electric power from a second power supply different from the first power supply and connected to the first pixel, the at least one protection circuit is connected to a power input terminal of the one or more amplifier circuits, and at least a portion of the at least one protection circuit is branched between the second power supply and the power input terminal to be connected to a ground of the display driver integrated circuit. In addition to the above, various embodiments identified through the specification are possible.

Abstract: An electronic device is disclosed that includes a display, a display driver IC that drives the display, and at least one processor operationally connected with the display and the display driver IC. The display driver IC moves a display location of one or more pixel data corresponding to an image associated with at least one application from a specified point by a specified distance on an active area of the display. The at least one processor is configured to scale up a first portion of the image by a specified range based on the specified distance, scale down a second portion of the image by the specified range based on the specified distance, and display the image on the active area based on the scaled-up first portion or the scaled-down second portion. In addition, various embodiments recognized through the specification are possible.

Abstract: According to various embodiments of the disclosure, a display may include a display panel including a first region in which first group subpixels are disposed and a second region in which second group subpixels are disposed, a converter group including converters respectively connected to subpixels included in the first group subpixels and the second group subpixels to transfer image data for output of specified content to the subpixels, a first group gamma circuit selectively connected to the converters to output a first grayscale voltage whose intensity is determined based on a plurality of binary bits, a second group gamma circuit selectively connected to the subpixels to output a second grayscale voltage whose intensity is determined based on a single binary bit, and a controller that controls selective connections between the first group gamma circuit and the converters and selective connections between the second group gamma circuit and the subpixels. According to an embodiment, the controller may receive the image data from an external processor and transfer the image data to the converter group, connect the first group gamma circuit with at least some converters such that the first group gamma circuit applies the first grayscale voltage to the at least some converters of the converter group, connect the second group gamma circuit with the second group subpixels such that the second group gamma circuit applies the second grayscale voltage to the second group subpixels, and output the specified content to at least a portion of the first region. In addition, various embodiments understood from the specification are possible.

The electronic device includes acquiring a second front-surface sensing value smaller than a first front-surface sensing value through a first illuminance sensor while the brightness is a first brightness, comparing the second front-surface sensing value with a first rear-surface sensing value detected through a second illuminance sensor, determining, when the second front-surface sensing value is greater than the first rear-surface sensing value, whether a touch input is detected through a designated region of the display, maintaining the brightness at the first brightness when the touch input is detected, and when the touch input is not detected, adjusting the brightness of the display to a value lower than that of the first brightness, based on a first LUT stored in a memory, or maintaining the brightness of the display at the first brightness.
