    Abstract: An electronic device of various embodiments can include a broadcast receiving module, a connector including a first pin and a second pin, and a processor, wherein the processor can be configured to: identify, through the first pin, the type of external electronic device connected through the connector; drive the broadcast receiving module in a state in which an external antenna included in an external electronic device and the broadcast receiving module are electrically connected through the first pin when the external electronic device corresponds to a designated electronic device type; receive a broadcast signal from the external antenna by using the broadcast receiving module; and output, through the second pin, an audio signal generated on the basis of at least a part of the broadcast signal to a designated device. Other embodiments are also possible.

    Abstract: A method of controlling charging of a plurality of batteries and an electronic device to which the same is applied are provided. The electronic device includes a housing, a plurality of batteries arranged in the housing, a power management module that controls the plurality of batteries, a plurality of current limiting ICs that limits a maximum intensity of a current flowing into each of the plurality of batteries, and at least one processor operationally connected to the plurality of batteries, the power management module and the plurality of current limiting ICs. The at least one processor may set a total charging current output from the power management module, set an individual charging current flowing into each of the plurality of batteries in proportion to a total capacity of each of the plurality of batteries, and recalculate the individual charging currents when the total charging current changes.

    Abstract: An apparatus and a method of controlling charging of a plurality of batteries connected in parallel in an electronic device are provided. The electronic device includes a charging circuit, a first battery configured to be arranged on a first electrical path connected from the charging circuit to the ground, a second battery configured to be arranged in parallel with the first battery on a second electrical path branched between the charging circuit on the first electrical path and the first battery and connected to the ground, a sensing circuit configured to identify a voltage of the second battery through a fourth electrical path branched on the second electrical path, and a processor operatively connected to the sensing circuit and the charging circuit, the charging circuit identifies a voltage of the first battery through a third electrical path branched on the first electrical path, receives a current control signal based on the voltage of the second battery through the processor, and controls a magnitude of a current supplied to the first battery or the second battery based on the current control signal.

    Abstract: An electronic device may include, for example: a first battery; at least one second battery; a power management module configured to monitor capacity information of the first battery; and a processor electrically connected to the first battery, the at least one second battery, and the power management module. The processor may be configured to: monitor whether a designated event or a low-power state in which a voltage of the first battery drops below a reference value has occurred, while the electronic device is driven using the first battery; determine that the designated event has occurred or that the first battery corresponds to the low-power state; and parallel-connect the first battery and at least one of the at least one second battery, based on determining that the designated event has occurred, or that the first battery corresponds to the low-power state. Various other embodiments are possible.
