Various embodiments of the present disclosure relate to an electronic device for controlling an external electronic device using a user input, and an operating method thereof. An electronic device according to various embodiments of the present disclosure may include a housing, a touchscreen display exposed through the housing, a communication circuit, a processor disposed inside the housing and electrically coupled with the display and the wireless communication circuit, and a memory disposed inside the housing and electrically coupled with the processor. The memory may store instructions which, when executed by the processor, cause the electronic device to provide a user interface for receiving a user handwriting input, to receive a first handwriting input of a first object through the display, to determine a shape of the first object, to select an external electronic device to control based on the shape of the first object, and to establish wireless communication with the external electronic device to control, through the communication circuit.

According to various example embodiments, a method for sharing a content group of an electronic device may include transmitting, to a server, information for a request to share a content group; receiving an input selecting at least one contact with which the content group is to be shared; transmitting information on the at least one contact to the server; and changing the content group to a shared state when information on the acceptance of sharing the content group from at least one external electronic device corresponding to the at least one contact is received from the server, wherein the content group is capable of being updated by the electronic device or the at least one external electronic device.

An electronic device may comprise a touchscreen and a processor configured to perform a first function based on a touch input made by an external object and received through the touchscreen, to determine whether the electronic device is grounded when a variation in a capacitance for the touch input increases to a preset first threshold or more, to adjust a first capacitance for the touch input where the capacitance variation occurs when the electronic device is determined to not be grounded, and to determine whether to perform a second function based on the touch input where the capacitance variation occurs based on the adjusted first capacitance.

The apparatus, including an electronic device, may include a touch sensor and a processor. The processor is configured to control for determining at least one touch attribute including at least one of an intensity, an area, and a direction of a touch input based on a change in the capacitance in the touch sensor due to the touch input on the touch sensor, and executing a function corresponding to a predetermined criterion if the at least one touch attribute satisfies the predetermined criterion.

An electronic device and a method that may provide security using complex biometric information are provided. The electronic device includes a sensor module configured to sense two or more pieces of biometric information and a controller configured to execute a command corresponding to biometric combination information when the biometric combination information corresponding to the two or more pieces of biometric information sensed through the sensor module exist. As described above, through use of the complex biometric information combined of two or more pieces of biometric information, more strengthened security may be provided to various objects in the electronic device.
