    Abstract: An electronic device includes a communication module, a plurality of microphones, and a processor. The processor is configured to identify a position of a sound source based on a voice received through the plurality of microphones, identify whether the position of the sound source is included in a first zone between the electronic device and an access point that transmits and receives a communication signal with the electronic device, identify whether the voice has been uttered by a user based on a comparison between the communication signal and a preset communication signal, when the position of the sound source is included in the first zone, and determine whether to execute a command included in the voice based on the identification of whether the voice has been uttered by the user.

    Abstract: A robot cleaner is disclosed. The robot cleaner comprises: a wireless communication module comprising wireless communication circuitry; a UWB communication module comprising UWB communication circuitry; and at least one processor, comprising processing circuitry, individually and/or collectively, configured to: identify whether at least one electronic device capable of UWB communication and at least one electronic device capable of wireless communication are present in a space where the robot cleaner is located, and based on the presence of a first electronic device capable of UWB communication and a second electronic device capable of wireless communication being identified, identify a first distance between the first electronic device and the robot cleaner using the UWB communication module, identify a second distance between the second electronic device and the robot cleaner using the wireless communication module, identify a third distance between a charging station, located in the space and capable of UWB communication, and the robot cleaner using the UWB communication module, and identify the location of the robot cleaner based on the first distance, the second distance, the third distance, the location of the first electronic device, the location of the second electronic device, and the location of the charging station, wherein wireless communication includes a communication scheme different from UWB communication.

    Abstract: A method of controlling a home appliance includes receiving a distance measurement request signal from a user equipment; transmitting, based on the received distance measurement request signal, an ultra-wideband (UWB) communication module activation signal to the user equipment and a second home appliance that includes a UWB antenna; receiving, from the second home appliance, a location measurement value of the user equipment measured with respect to the second home appliance, the location measurement value being based on a UWB signal between the user equipment and the second home appliance; determining location information about the user equipment, based on the location measurement value of the user equipment; receiving, from a first home appliance that does not include a UWB antenna, information about the first home appliance; and registering the first home appliance in the server device, based on the received information about the first home appliance and the location information about the user equipment.
