    Abstract: A method and device for searching for a network in a wireless communication environment that supports a plurality of communication methods are provided. The method of searching for a network performed by an electronic device includes determining a battery level of the electronic device; searching for a first frequency band, when it is determined that the battery level is greater than or equal to a threshold value; and searching for a second frequency band, when it is determined that the battery level is less than the threshold value.
