Abstract: A method is provided. The method includes identifying whether an amount of change in the pressure detected through an atmospheric pressure sensor is greater than or equal to a specified first threshold, in response to the amount of change in the pressure being greater than or equal to the first threshold, waking up a biometric sensor module including a plurality of electrodes in which some of the plurality of electrodes are disposed to come into contact with a body part of a user when the electronic device is worn, and others thereof are disposed to not come into contact with a body part of the user when the electronic device is worn, and identifying whether an interrupt signal, indicating that a state in which the plurality of electrodes are electrically connected is maintained for a specified first time or more, is received from the biometric sensor module.

Abstract: A method is provided for folding an electronic device including a first housing and a second housing. The method includes an operation of calculating an angle between the first housing and the second housing. The operation of calculating the angle includes calculating, based on sensing data measured by a first sensor module disposed in the first housing and a second sensor module disposed in the second housing, an angle between the first housing and the second housing. The method further includes an operation of measuring a magnetic force value using a digital Hall sensor when a state of the foldable electronic device corresponding to the calculated angle corresponds to a set condition. The method further includes an operation of setting a first reference value associated with folding the foldable electronic device and a second reference value associated with unfolding the foldable electronic device based on the magnetic force value.

Abstract: A housing of an electronic device according to an embodiment may include a combination of at least two housings, and the entire size or length of the electronic device may change according to relative movement between the housings. The electronic device may comprise: a flexible display configured to expand or contract according to a change in size of the electronic device. A portion of the flexible display may be inserted into the housing when the housing contracts and may be drawn out of the housing when the housing expands. The electronic device may comprise a distance sensor and/or an expansion sensor. The distance sensor is configured to measure a change in a relative distance of the housing, and the expansion sensor senses a contraction or expansion state of the housing, thereby contributing to correcting data measured by the distance sensor. The electronic device employing the distance sensor and/or the expansion sensor can accurately sense the size of an externally visible portion of a display and can display a screen appropriate to the size of the visible portion of the display.
