One electronic device includes a communication unit, at least two microphones, and a control unit. The electronic device generates signal information by which another electronic device may generate an output signal which can be detected by the microphones. The signal information is transmitted via the communication unit to the other electronic device. If the output signal is obtained by the microphones, the electronic device determines a relative position of the other electronic device, based on the obtained output signal.
