    Abstract: A method performed by a first node for flow control in a wireless communication system is provided. The method includes identifying a triggering event for transmitting downlink flow control feedback information, generating the downlink flow control feedback information including an available buffer size based on the identified triggering event, and transmitting, to a second node, a backhaul adaptation protocol (BAP) layer message including the downlink flow control feedback information.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a pre-5th-Generation (5G) or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates Beyond 4th-Generation (4G) communication system such as Long Term Evolution (LTE). An apparatus includes at least one transceiver, and at least one processor, coupled to the at least one transceiver, configured to determine at least one terminal having a value lower than or equal to a threshold among terminals in a coverage of the base station, the value indicating a signal quality, to identify another value for indicating interference in the coverage, to identify a resource pool allocated for the determined at least one terminal and shared with neighboring base stations around the base station based on determining that the another value exceeds another threshold, and to transmit a message for instructing to modulate a signal to be communicated via the identified resource pool based on a frequency and quadrature-amplitude modulation (FQAM) scheme in the neighboring base stations.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a communication method and system for converging a 5th-Generation (5G) communication system for supporting higher data rates beyond a 4th-Generation (4G) system with a technology for Internet of Things (IoT). The present disclosure may be applied to intelligent services based on the 5G communication technology and the IoT-related technology, such as smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car, connected car, health care, digital education, smart retail, security and safety services. Described is a method of operating a mobile terminal in a wireless communications network, the mobile terminal being arranged to communicate with a base station, the method comprising: one or more of: determining a cause of the Random Access procedure initiation following initiation of a Random Access procedure; and determining one or more transmission priority factors indicating an operating parameter of the network; and based on one or more of the determined cause of Random Access procedure initiation and the determined one or more transmission priority factors, performing one of: prioritising Random Access signal transmission over signal transmission on the uplink shared channel; prioritising signal transmission on the uplink shared channel over Random Access signal transmission; or making no change to the existing signal transmission protocol. Also described is a method of operating a base station in in a wireless communications network, the base station being arranged to communicate with a mobile terminal, the method comprising determining a prioritisation action for the mobile terminal to perform based on one or more of a determined indication and a received indication from the mobile terminal. Also described is a method and apparatus for signalling for group handover or cell re-selection in non-terrestrial networks.

The format of the BSR is selected based on one or more predetermined criteria. The predetermined criteria may comprise one or more of: a number of configured LCGs; a number of LCGs of a certain minimum priority; and/or a required level of BSR granularity.
