Abstract:
An architecture and method are disclosed to reduce computation in a self-attention model. The self-attention model is trained using multiple sub-models; each sub-model receiving an input sequence of tokens; each input sequence of tokens being scored within each sub-model to provide a token score for each sub-model; each sub-model having a predetermined threshold score. Each sub-model prunes tokens from the input sequence with a score below the predetermined threshold score for the sub-model. The pruned sequences of each sub-model are used as the input sequences for the next sub-model. The predetermined threshold scores for each sub-model differing.
Abstract:
A remote control method and an apparatus for home appliances, wherein a remote controller performs situation recognition using sensors and automatically controls home appliances without a control message from a portable device when communication with the portable device is not possible, are provided. The remote control method is designed for a remote controller managing home appliances installed in a home. The remote control method includes receiving a remote control request from a portable device capable of remotely controlling one or more home appliances, performing, upon reception of the remote control request, situation recognition with respect to the home appliances, and controlling operations of the home appliances based on situation recognition results.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatuses of operating audio data of an electronic device are provided. A storage space is generated where decoded audio data is stored. Frames are stored in the storage space. The frames have a playable unit length that corresponds to a full length that is formed when encoded audio data is decoded. The encoded audio data is decoded from a requested playback point and the decoded audio data is stored in the storage space, upon detecting a request for playback of audio data at the requested playback point. The decoded audio data is output.

The disclosure provides a method of an appliance, including receiving prediction information indicating a predicted failure of the appliance, obtaining a schedule for which use of a repair service for repairing the predicted failure based on the prediction information is available, transmitting a signal for requesting maintenance information used to delay the predicted failure and maintain a normal operation of the appliance if the obtained schedule is after a predicted failure time point indicated by the prediction information, receiving the maintenance information, and operating based on the maintenance information.
