Abstract:
An electronic device includes a memory storing profile information, at least one first electrode, at least one second electrode, and a processor connected to the at least one first electrode and the at least one second electrode. The processor is configured to determine a frequency of at least one signal for measuring body composition, based on the profile information, output a synthesis signal obtained by synthesizing the at least three signals to a body of the user through the at least one first electrode, wherein the synthesis signal includes a signal corresponding to the determined frequency and the at least three signals have different frequencies, receive the synthesis signal passing through the body of the user, through the at least one second electrode, measure body impedance of the user based on the received synthesis signal, and measure the body composition of the user based on the body impedance.
Abstract:
A washing machine including a tub, a spin basket rotatably mounted in the tub, a pulsator rotatably mounted in the spin basket and having a pulsator hub part extending downward from a center portion of the pulsator, a driving device to generate rotational force, a wash shaft to transmit the rotational force generated from the driving device to the pulsator, and a buoyancy clutch upwardly and downwardly movably mounted to the pulsator hub part and configured to move up and down by buoyancy. The buoyancy clutch is configured to rotate together with the pulsator. When the buoyancy clutch moves down, the spin basket is engaged with the buoyancy clutch and receives the rotational force.
Abstract:
A washing machine including a filter device, a support, or an auxiliary damper, using pressure of water supplied thereto. The washing machine includes a casing, a reservoir installed inside the casing, a water supply tube connected to an upper portion of the reservoir such that wash water is supplied through the water supply tube, a drainage tube connected to a lower portion of the reservoir such that wash water is discharged through the drainage tube, and a filter device which allows wash water to be moved and eliminates foreign substances from the wash water at one side of the reservoir using pressure of the wash water supplied through the water supply tube. It may be possible to eliminate foreign substances from laundry using pressure of water supplied according to progress of operation of the washing machine without provision of additional power.
Abstract:
A washing machine includes a cabinet; a tub which is disposed in the cabinet and in which washing water is stored; a drain hose that guides the washing water in the tub toward an outer side of the cabinet; and a siphonage prevention unit disposed on the drain hose, wherein the siphonage prevention unit includes: a connection pipe having a connection flow path that communicates with the drain hose; an air pipe having an air flow path that communicates with the connection flow path; and a protrusion that is disposed adjacent to a communication portion in which the connection flow path and the air flow path communicate with each other and that protrudes from an inner side surface of the connection pipe. Through this configuration, a siphonage phenomenon in the drain hose can be prevented.
Abstract:
A method of providing a health service through a refrigerator that includes determining biometric information of a user using the refrigerator, searching for a user profile including biometric information corresponding to the determined biometric information from a user profile database stored in the refrigerator, and providing the user with a health service based on a user profile stored in the user profile database corresponding to the user.
Abstract:
A washing machine includes a cabinet, a tub provided inside the cabinet to store wash water therein, a drum rotatably provided inside the tub, and a balancer comprising an upper side surface covering an outer surface of a bottom of the drum and a lower side surface formed at one side of the upper side surface in a planar shape while facing an inner surface of a bottom of the tub. The balancer is configured to counterbalance an unbalanced load of the drum, thereby saving energy and enhancing balancing efficiency.
Abstract:
A washing machine including a tub to retain wash water, a spin basket rotatably installed in the tub, a pulsator rotatably installed in the spin basket, a drive unit to generate rotary power and transmit the rotary power to the pulsator, and a float clutch elevatably installed at the pulsator to selectively transmit the rotary power to the spin basket when elevated by buoyancy. The float clutch includes guide protrusions provided at an upper surface thereof to allow the float clutch to be elevatably installed at a lower portion of the pulsator, and the pulsator includes guide grooved provided at a lower surface thereof, the guide protrusions being elevatably installed in the guide grooves. Since the float clutch receives rotary power at a position spaced apart from the shaft installation portion of the pulsator, the rotary power is prevented from being concentrated on the shaft installation portion.
Abstract:
A full-automatic washing machine with a simple shaft system including a single rotating shaft to generate a composite current of wash water while having a pulsator and a drum integrally rotated during a washing cycle and a spin-dry cycle, thereby improving the washing power is provided. The washing machine includes a tub configured to store wash water, a drum disposed inside the tub, a driving apparatus to rotate the drum, and a circulating duct to guide wash water at a lower portion of the drum toward an upper portion of the drum. The drum includes a cylindrical body portion having an open upper and a lower surface, a bowl portion coupled to the lower surface of the body portion and having a center opened, and a bottom portion configured coupled to the center of the bowl portion to cover the center of the bowl portion.
