摘要: A method for capturing a high-quality cardiac plethysmography signal automatically and seamlessly using the video cameras embedded in personal electronic devices, includes a program running in the background that periodically takes a picture of the person using the device, runs face detection and/or recognition algorithm, and upon detection of a face, records a video, and then processes the video using algorithms to assess video quality by extracting video quality parameters. When video quality parameters are above predefined thresholds, the recorded video is processed further to generate a plethysmography signal indicative of cardiac activity. The plethysmography signal may then be processed to deduce cardiac activity. The method maintains a pleasurable user experience with the personal electronic devices.

摘要: A medical monitoring device includes a signal collection module, a data processing module and a display module. The data processing module processes a vital sign signal collected by the signal collection module, generates physiological parameters, and generates visualization information about parameters of interest corresponding to a designated anesthetic phase based on request information, the designated anesthetic phase is an anesthetic induction phase, an anesthetic maintenance phase or a postoperative recovery phase, and the parameters of interest comprise parameters selected from the physiological parameters and/or anesthetic parameters derived from the physiological parameters. The display module at least displays the visualization information about the parameters of interest corresponding to the designated anesthetic phase in an anesthetic state display area.

摘要: Apparatus for monitoring a clinical condition of a subject is described. A motion sensor senses motion of the subject without contacting or viewing the subject, and generates a sensed motion signal responsive to the sensed motion. A signal analyzer is adapted to analyze the motion signal to identify a cough in the subject. Other applications are also described.

摘要: An apparatus and a method for monitoring cardiovascular health are provided. The apparatus includes a housing, a control circuitry, an inflatable cuff for surrounding an upper limb of a user, a pump contained in the housing, at least a first electrode and a second electrode, and an ear-worn structure having the first electrode mounted thereon. When performing blood pressure measurement, the processor controls the pump to inflate and deflate the cuff, for measuring blood pressure of the user. When performing electrocardiographic signal measurement, through mounting the ear-worn structure on an ear of the user, the first electrode contacts the skin of the ear or around the ear, and through mounting the cuff surrounding the upper limb, the second electrode contacts the skin of the upper limb, enabling the processor to acquire electrocardiographic signals through the first electrode and the second electrode.

摘要: An equine performance tracking and monitoring system having real-time feedback may include a horse heart rate monitoring strap configured to be secured against a portion of a horse while extending only part of the way around the horse. To measure the horse's heart rate, the disclosed systems may utilize such a discrete-length horse heart rate monitoring strap having electrodes, one of which is positioned behind the left elbow of the horse. The horse's heart rate may be transmitted to a wearable device work by a rider. The wearable device may include a sensor configured to measure the heart rate of the rider. The heart rate of the horse and the heart rate of the rider may each be presented to the rider, for example, via a display of the wearable device.
