A method of tracking an object includes obtaining an image captured by a camera, setting a plurality of patterns having various sizes, according to a distance from a horizon in the image to a plurality of pixels in the image, extracting an object matching one of the plurality of patterns having various sizes, while scanning the image using the plurality of patterns having various sizes, and displaying information about a position of the extracted object in the image.
Abstract:
Provided is an image stabilizing apparatus and method for correcting an image that is shaken due to a movement of a camera. The image stabilizing apparatus includes a characterizing point checking region setting unit including: a sample frame extract unit which extracts a plurality of image frames obtained for a certain period of time in image data obtained by photographing an object; and a frame analyzing unit which detects a plurality of characterizing points in the extracted plurality of image frames, and sets a characterizing point checking region which is used to check characterizing points in a currently input image frame.

Provided are a panel inspection method and apparatus, the panel inspection method including: (a) determining if a variance value of luminance of a captured image of a panel is greater than a reference value, and searching for an original image and at least one secondary reflective image of a defect of the panel if it is determined that the variance value is greater than the reference value; and (b) determining whether the defect is an actual defect or an impurity disposed on the panel based on at least one of a difference in a luminance characteristic between the original image and the secondary reflective image and a number of the searched secondary reflective image.

An adaptive image processing apparatus includes a first matching unit selecting representative candidate images from among a plurality of images included in an image pyramid and calculating a first matching score between each of the representative candidate images and a target model; a second matching unit selecting one scale level from among scale levels of the representative candidate images based on the first matching score and calculating a second matching score between each of images having scale levels included in a dense scale level range with respect to the selected scale level and the target model; a representative scale level selecting unit selecting at least one of the scale levels included in the dense scale level range as a representative scale level based on the second matching scores; and an image processing unit performing image processing based on an image having the selected representative scale level.

An image stabilizing apparatus for correcting an image which is shaken due to a movement of a camera. The image stabilizing apparatus includes an image adjusting unit that includes: an image analyzing unit which compares an image frame currently input with a reference image, and if the currently input image frame is shaken, extracts a representative direction and a representative magnitude of the shaking; and an image moving unit which moves the currently input image frame by the representative magnitude in a direction opposite to the representative direction.

A method and system for image stabilization through image processing, and a zoom camera including an image stabilization function. The method includes: determining whether an input image comprises a representative feature portion; sampling the representative feature portion to generate a sampled image if it is determined that the input image comprises the representative feature portion; enlarging the sampled image, matching the enlarged sampled image with the sampled image, and obtaining a central coordinate of the matched image; and aligning an optical axis by calculating a difference between the central coordinate of the matched image and a central coordinate of the sampled image.
