The communication plug has a communication cable with a plurality of conductors, a plug housing, and a cable manager partially enclosed within the plug housing. The cable manager has a load bar with a plurality of holes, a first cable management section connected to the load bar via a first hinge, and a second cable management section connected to the load bar via a second hinge. The first and second cable management sections are configured to fold together and partially enclose the cable before the cable manager is inserted into the plug housing.

    摘要: A DIN rail adapter is provided. The DIN rail adapter is comprised of an adapter sub-assembly, a jack/module carrier, and a cam turn tab. The adapter sub-assembly has a grounding bar configured to make contact to the DIN rail when it is mounted. The jack/module earner attaches to the adapter sub-assembly and can be configured to contain a jack, module, or another similar device. The cam turn tab is configured to reversibly connect the grounding bar to the jack or module contained within the jack/module carrier. In one embodiment, the cam turn tab connects the grounding bar to the jack or module by pushing a portion of the grounding bar such that it makes contact with the jack or module within the jack/module carrier.

Branches of modules extending from the zone enclosure are connected together by removable jumpers at the zone enclosure. Sets of branches of modules using different protocols are isolated from each other. Shorts in the RS-485 cables can be determined by disconnecting and reconnecting the branches from the network. The zone enclosure has a patch panel that contains modular RS-485 connectors. An RS-485 cable from the controller and pulled through the building along with other data cables is connected to the RS-485 connectors at the back of the patch panel. The modules are connected to the RS-485 connectors at the front of the patch panel through RS-485 cables.
