    摘要： A display state of input data and a setting dialog on a display screen is determined to display the setting dialog at an appropriate position based on a determination result. An information processing system includes a scanner apparatus for inputting data and a PC for displaying input data input by the scanner apparatus on a display screen of a large-sized display. The PC includes a display control portion for displaying the input data and the setting dialog for setting document reading conditions relating to the input data on the display screen, and a display state determining portion for determining a display state of the input data and the setting dialog. The display control portion controls a display position of the setting dialog based on a determination result by the display state determining portion.

    摘要： An image forming apparatus extracts, from image data, authentication data by which a user is identified, sends the extracted authentication data to a control terminal that recognizes a function available to the user identified by the extracted authentication data, and then receives, from the control terminal, available-function data indicative of a result of the recognition. Then, the image forming apparatus chooses, in accordance with the available-function data thus received, a function that is available in the image forming apparatus. This enables the image forming apparatus to validate or invalidate each function in accordance with a user on the basis of the extracted authentication data.

    摘要： An information communication system is provided, which, through the use of a standard network technology, links a server terminal to an information apparatus, and allows the use of application software and data stored on another server terminal. A web server terminal includes a main program running in response to logging in from the information apparatus, and a subprogram running in response to direct logging in from the web server terminal and requiring user authority different from that for the main program. The main program receives and delivers information using internet server software that is limited in access to another server terminal connected by network connection, and the subprogram is allowed to make access to another server terminal without using the internet server software. When the main program is incapable of obtaining information stored on another server terminal, the subprogram is entrusted with obtainment of the information.

The main setting window shows images of resource saving buttons and a start decision button. The start decision button enables the user to decisively instruct the information processor to start the printing.
