摘要: In a gas insulated disconnecting switch, a movable contact assembly comprises a stationary cylinder, a coaxial cylindrical movable conductive contact, and a coaxial rod-shaped movable arc electrode. A compression chamber is formed between the stationary cylinder and the movable conductive contact. A damping chamber is formed between the movable conductive contact and the movable arc electrode. Because of controlled flow of gas into and out of these chambers, the speed at which the movable arc electrode is brought into contact with the stationary arc electrode is restricted and possibility of breakage of the arc electrodes is eliminated.

摘要: Disclosed is a process and apparatus for treating noxious gases and/or substances which are produced by virtue of an electric arc in the event of a switching operation or due to corona discharge. A gas insulated electrical apparatus is connected to a container for a cleaning solution including a volatile solvent. A conduit connects the container for the cleaning solution to the gas insulated electrical apparatus, and another conduit, including a filter apparatus, connects the gas insulated electrical apparatus to the container for the cleaning solution, for returning the cleaning solution, which has been used to wash the gas insulated electrical apparatus, to the container for the cleaning solution. Vacuum or pressure producing apparatuses may be provided for aiding in the transfer of the cleaning solution.

摘要: A superconducting current limiting apparatus includes a first container, a superconducting current limiting element accommodated in the first container, a refrigerant filling the first container for cooling the superconducting current limiting element accommodated in the first container, a second container for accommodating the first container in such a manner that the first container is heat insulated, and a conductor for connecting the superconducting current limiting element to an external power supply system. Such a superconducting current limiting apparatus can be used to limit a short-circuit current. It can be incorporated in a short circuit controlling superconducting system.

摘要: A puffer type gas insulated circuit breaker has releasably engaging stationary and movable arc contacts contained in a vessel filled with an arc extinguishing gas. An operation rod serving as a supporting member of the movable arc contacts has openings and helps define a puffer chamber. In the breaker, gas is pressurized by an arc generated between said stationary arc contacts and said movable arc contacts in an initial breaking phase, this gas being taken into the puffer chamber. The holes are used as a heat exhaust passage.

摘要: The present invention provides a technique that is easy for soldering fixture to a printed circuit board and is easy to handle. Regarding a connector having an insulating base portion and a conductive portion, in at least one direction of a surface to which the conductive portion is exposed, a metal plate extending from a side constituting the surface to another side not adjacent to the side is included. The metal plate can be fixed to a circuit board with solder, and deformation of the connector can be made less likely to occur.

摘要: The gas circuit breaker has a configuration such that a stationary contact section and a movable contact section are arranged in an arc-extinguishing gas sealed container, to face each other, and the movable contact section includes a hollow operating rod having an exhaust hole at its rear portion, a movable cylinder arranged around the rod, a hollow movable arc contact provided on the movable cylinder and an insulating nozzle surrounding the movable arc contact. The movable contact section further includes a stationary piston portion insertable/removable inside the movable cylinder, and the space formed by the movable cylinder and the current collecting cylinder fixed to the stationary piston portion is partitioned by a parting plate into a thermal pressure elevation room space at front side and a compression room space at rear side. During the electrode opening operation, the compression room space is compressed by the interaction between the movable cylinder and the piston portion, thus increasing the pressure in the space, and the speed of the movement of the operating rod is slowed down just before the completion of the electrode opening operation.

摘要: A puffer type gas-blast circuit breaker provided with a movable electrode and a fixed electrode opposite the movable electrode, which electrodes are separable for implementing a circuit-breaking action, and a fixed current-carrying contact arranged around the periphery of the fixed electrode. The movable electrode is equipped with a surrounding insulating nozzle having a tapered inside surface. Movement of the movable electrode during separation of the electrodes compresses the gas in a puffer chamber and so blows out the resulting arc between the movable and fixed electrodes. The circuit breaker further includes a cylindrical insulator or capacitor that surrounds the arc extinction chamber formed by the electrodes and the insulating nozzle between the movable and fixed electrodes. In the circuit-breaking action, the line of extension of the tapered inside surface of the insulating nozzle downstream, as regards the gas flow, from the throat portion of the insulating nozzle, and extending in the direction of the fixed contact, lies within the innermost portion of the extreme end portion of the fixed current-carrying contact, on the side of the fixed contact nearest the movable electrode.
