摘要: A puffer type gas insulated circuit breaker has releasably engaging stationary and movable arc contacts contained in a vessel filled with an arc extinguishing gas. An operation rod serving as a supporting member of the movable arc contacts has openings and helps define a puffer chamber. In the breaker, gas is pressurized by an arc generated between said stationary arc contacts and said movable arc contacts in an initial breaking phase, this gas being taken into the puffer chamber. The holes are used as a heat exhaust passage.

摘要: A superconducting current limiting apparatus includes a first container, a superconducting current limiting element accommodated in the first container, a refrigerant filling the first container for cooling the superconducting current limiting element accommodated in the first container, a second container for accommodating the first container in such a manner that the first container is heat insulated, and a conductor for connecting the superconducting current limiting element to an external power supply system. Such a superconducting current limiting apparatus can be used to limit a short-circuit current. It can be incorporated in a short circuit controlling superconducting system.

摘要: The gas circuit breaker has a configuration such that a stationary contact section and a movable contact section are arranged in an arc-extinguishing gas sealed container, to face each other, and the movable contact section includes a hollow operating rod having an exhaust hole at its rear portion, a movable cylinder arranged around the rod, a hollow movable arc contact provided on the movable cylinder and an insulating nozzle surrounding the movable arc contact. The movable contact section further includes a stationary piston portion insertable/removable inside the movable cylinder, and the space formed by the movable cylinder and the current collecting cylinder fixed to the stationary piston portion is partitioned by a parting plate into a thermal pressure elevation room space at front side and a compression room space at rear side. During the electrode opening operation, the compression room space is compressed by the interaction between the movable cylinder and the piston portion, thus increasing the pressure in the space, and the speed of the movement of the operating rod is slowed down just before the completion of the electrode opening operation.

摘要: A fluorine-containing copolymer, which comprises a hydroxyl-terminated fluorine-containing vinyl ether, represented by the following general formula: CF2═CFORfCH2OH (where Rf is a fluoroalkylene group, a fluoroalkyl ether group, or a fluoroalkoxyfluoroalkyl ether group, having 1-25 carbon atoms), and at least one of other fluorine-containing unsaturated monomers, where a high-molecular weight fluorine-containing copolymer having a melt viscosity (230° C.) of 0.1-100 g/10 min. is insoluble in a solvent, and can be used suitably for melt molding, whereas a low-molecular weight fluorine-containing copolymer having a glass transition temperature Tg of 20° C., or higher, and a number average molecular weight Mn of 1,000, or more is soluble in a solvent, and can be used suitably for coating agents, etc. The fluorine-containing copolymer has a high light transmissivity, and a low refractive index, and also has, as such, a good adhesiveness to various substrated without any surface treatment, any adhesives, or the like.

摘要: In a film formation method, a droplet discharge unit discharges droplets of a functional liquid material on a substrate as the droplet discharge unit is moved with respect to the substrate to form a liquid film on the substrate. The film formation method includes discharging a plurality of first droplets onto a plurality of first positions on the substrate with the first positions being arranged so that the first droplets do not touch each other on the substrate, discharging a plurality of second droplets onto a plurality of second positions on the substrate with the second positions being disposed between the first droplets that were discharged on the substrate; and causing the second droplets to touch a plurality of adjacent ones of the first droplets to form the liquid film.
