摘要： An exemplary clutch mechanism includes a casing, first and second hubs rotatably mounted to the casing, an electrically-actuated drive assembly mounted within the casing, and a clutching lug movably mounted within the casing. The lug has an engaged position in which the lug couples the hubs for joint rotation and a disengaged position in which the hubs are rotationally decoupled. The drive assembly is operable to drive the lug between the engaged and disengaged positions to couple and decouple the hubs. The clutch mechanism is modular and self-contained within the casing such that the mechanism can be installed to each of a plurality of different lockset products without opening the casing.

The common platform includes an inside drive assembly and a chassis assembly including a chassis and an outside drive assembly. A lockset assembled from the system includes the common platform and a plurality of modular components. Each of the modular components corresponds to a respective one of the component families, and is provided as a selected species of the corresponding component family. The lockset has a function defined by the set of component species installed to the lockset. The function of the lockset can be changed by altering the set of component species installed to the lockset without disassembling the chassis assembly.

In one form, the lock includes an assembly of parts with locating features that assist in those parts being assembled with other parts of the assembly in a single, relative orientation. Further, lost motion may be utilized to accommodate manual displacement of one or more components that can also be displaceable, in some embodiments, via operation of a motor. The lock can also include an internal power source capable of driving electronics used to determine handedness of a door.

摘要： The present disclosure is directed to a lock assembly comprising an inner housing positionable on one side of a movable structure such as a door and an outer housing positionable on an opposing side of the structure. A pocket connection region having an aperture formed through a wall of the inner housing is configured to receive a head of a fastener therethrough. After the fastener extends through the aperture, a clamp device may be moved from an open position to a closed position so as to releasably lock the fastener to the pocket connection region of the inner housing. In another form, a retainer is configured to hold the fastener with respect to the inner housing during installation of the lock assembly. In this manner an inner housing may be quickly connected to an outer housing when installing a lock assembly to the structure.

The lock control assembly has a locked state and an unlocked state. The lock control assembly also has a plurality of movable elements, each having a locking position and an unlocking position. One of the hubs includes a guide channel, and a slider is movably seated in the guide channel. One of the movable elements is associated with the slider, and is configured to move the slider between a lock-indicating position and an unlock-indicating position.

The handle is operable to retract the latchbolt when the chassis is unlocked, and is inoperable to retract the latchbolt when the chassis is locked. The lock cylinder includes a shell and a plug selectively rotatable relative to the shell. The chassis is configured to transition from the locked state to the unlocked state in response to rotation of the plug in a first rotational direction from a home position to a first rotated position. The chassis is configured to return from the unlocked state to the locked state in response to rotation of the plug in a second rotational direction from the first rotated position to the home position.

摘要： The present disclosure is directed to a lock assembly that can be converted between a clutching and non-clutching orientation by rotating an outer housing 180 degrees relative to an outside drive assembly. The outer housing includes a notch and an elongate arcuate slot formed in the inner surface of the outer housing adjacent a through aperture and across from one another. A lock control lug is moveably coupled with the outside drive assembly and is selectively engageable with the notch or the arcuate slot of the outer housing. An outer lever is placed in a non-clutching configuration when the lock control lug is engaged with the notch and in a clutching configuration when the lock control lug is engaged with the arcuate slot.
