摘要: Controlling a door latch of a cooking appliance is provided. A controller monitors motor current of a motor driving a door latch during a locking operation of a door of the cooking appliance. The controller deactivates the motor responsive to the motor current reaching a closed door threshold amount of current. The controller indicates the door being in a closed state responsive to the current draw over time matching a predefined current draw curve.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to touchless, pushbutton exit devices, systems and methods thereof. A touchless, pushbutton exit device of the present disclosure is a touchless door-control device designed to provide both contactless, fail-safe, egress/exit control as well as push-button egress/exit control. The touchless, pushbutton exit device can be used in conjunction with a host of existing security devices (e.g., Fire, Alarm Panel, and Access Control), or as a stand-alone solution. The present disclosure provides for at least three types of exit devices, i.e., an Infrared (IR) version, a Doppler (radar) version and a low-power radar-based version. When motion is detected within a predetermined distance (e.g., about 5.5 inches for the Infrared version or about 24 inches for the Doppler version) of a faceplate of the exit device, an onboard relay is activated, providing control for intermittent as well as continuous duty locking devices.

The electronic latch retraction mechanism may also include a crank coupled to the crank head such that the crank is at least partially rotatable to the crank head, where the crank is configured to engage a push bar of the exit device to move the push bar from the from the extended position to the retracted position when the crank head moves from the first rotational position to the second rotational position.

A drive motor is located within the housing and is configured to selectively move a lock assembly between a locked position preventing movement of the bolt and an unlocked position allowing movement of the bolt. A controller is in electrical communication with the drive motor and is configured to direct the actuator lock assembly between the locked position and the unlocked position. A force sensor is in electrical communication with the controller configured to measured when a force exceeds a predetermined threshold.

Also described is an equipment locking and de-energization management method (7) which makes use of the locking and de-energization management system, enhancing the safety, efficiency and productivity during locking and de-energization of the power source (6) of an item of equipment (7) undergoing maintenance.
