    Abstract: A pressure wave system having a tubular member, a signal source, a sensor, and a source of noise, has a noise interference system employing one or more a lateral branches to cancel pressure noise, and/or amplify or filter the pressure wave signal. A related method generates the pressure wave signal, connects the lateral branch or branches to amplify or filter the signal and/or cancel noise from the system, and receives the signal or a response of the system to the signal. The lateral branches are simple pipe stubs or loops that can be made using ordinary piping components, or are more complex designs.

    Abstract: A method to generate a tube wave in a tubular system involves reciprocating a plunger in a chamber system to alternatingly increase and decrease net volume, drawing fluid from and returning the fluid to a tubular system and into and from the chamber system, to generate a tube wave, and guiding the tube wave to the tubular system. Also, a tube wave generator-sensor system has a chamber system, a plunger, a driver to reciprocate the plunger within the chamber system to generate a tube wave, a flow passage to guide the tube wave into a tubular system, and a sensor to receive the tube wave signal and/or response from the tubular system. The method and system can work with or without a firing valve and or accumulator, without adding or subtracting fluid from the tubular system.

    Abstract: A method to locate fracture zones in a well by emitting tube waves from different emission locations, sensing responses from the fracture zones at different corresponding receiving locations, and analyzing the responses to map the location of the fracture zones. Also, a system to locate the fracture zones in a well with an emitter movable to emit tube waves at different emission locations in the well, a downhole receiver adapted to sense responses at respective receiving locations a fixed distance relative to the emission locations, and a recorder to track the time between the emission and the response for the different emission locations. Also a downhole tool equipped with a tube wave emitter, a tube wave response receiver in a tandem arrangement with the emitter, and a deployment system selected from wireline, coiled tubing, tractor, and combinations thereof to move the emitter and receiver together in tandem.

    Abstract: Systems and methods presented herein facilitate coiled tubing operations, and generally relate to wirelessly configuring bottom hole assemblies (BHAs) for use in coiled tubing well operations. For example, certain embodiments of the present disclosure include a method that includes wirelessly communicatively coupling at least one user computing device to a wireless access point of a wireless access module of a BHA. The method also includes wirelessly receiving one or more command signals from the at least one user computing device via the wireless access point of the wireless access module of the BHA. The method further includes adjusting one more operating settings or procedures of one or more downhole tool components of the BHA based at least in part on the one or more command signals.
