    摘要: A plasma display panel (PDP) having a structure that can improve the bright room contrast is disclosed. In one embodiment, the PDP includes a first substrate and a second substrate spaced apart from each other and facing each other, first electrodes formed on the first substrate, barrier ribs defining a plurality discharge cells and non-discharge areas in the space between the first and second substrates, a dielectric layer formed on the first substrate while covering the first electrodes, the dielectric layer including grooves formed in portions of the dielectric layer that correspond to the non-discharge areas, and second electrodes formed don the second electrodes.

    摘要: A Plasma Display Panel (PDP) includes a first panel and a second panel, the first panel facing the second panel and having a plurality of discharge cells arranged between the first panel and the second panel. The first panel includes a first substrate, X and Y electrodes extending on the first substrate, and a first dielectric layer adapted to cover the X and Y electrodes and having groove shaped field concentration units arranged on a surface thereof facing the discharge cells. An inner surface of each field concentration unit is concave with respect to a central portion thereof.

    摘要: A plasma display panel includes barrier ribs disposed between a front substrate and a rear substrate and define discharge cells. Sustain electrode pairs are disposed on the front substrate. Address electrodes are disposed on the rear substrate in a direction to cross the length direction of the sustain electrode pairs. A front dielectric layer covers the sustain electrode pairs, and has grooves formed in a direction parallel to the length direction of the sustain electrode pairs such that the grooves have slopes in a direction from the rear substrate towards the front substrate with ends of the sustain electrode pairs being located on a lower surface of the front substrate where shadows of the slopes are cast. A rear dielectric layer covers the address electrodes. Phosphor layers are coated in the discharge cells and a discharge gas fills the discharge cells.
