摘要： A method for converting an image in an image conversion apparatus is provided. The method includes receiving a stereo image, down-scaling the stereo image, performing stereo-matching by applying adaptive weight to the down-scaled stereo images, generating a depth map according to the stereo-matching, up-scaling the depth map by referring to an input image of original resolution, and generating a plurality of multi-view images by performing depth-image-based rendering with respect to the up-scaled depth map and the input image of original resolution. Accordingly, a plurality of multi-view images may be obtained with ease.

摘要： Provided are image transforming device and method. The image transforming method includes: receiving a selection of first and second images which are separately captured; extracting a matching point between the first and second images; calculating a first transformation parameter of the first image and a second transformation parameter of the second image by using the matching point; and applying the first transformation parameter to the first image to generate a left eye image and the second transformation parameter to the second image to generate a right eye image. Therefore, a 3-dimensional (3D) image is generated by using a separately captured image.

摘要： A three-dimensional (3D) display apparatus and method controlling thereof are provided. The 3D display apparatus includes: a reception unit which receives a 3D image signal from another 3D display apparatus; a conversion unit which converts a disparity of the 3D image signal based on transmitter information of the other 3D display apparatus and receiver information of the 3D display apparatus, and generates an output 3D image signal having depth information which is proportional to depth information of the 3D image signal; and a display unit which outputs the output 3D image signal.
