Abstract:
A drawn and ironed container with a profiled bottom wall is disclosed herein. The profiled bottom wall includes an ellipsoidal dome surrounded by a substantially vertical wall portion which merges with the side wall of the container along an outwardly directed bead. The configuration of the bottom wall substantially increases the resistance to buckling when the container is filled with pressurized product.
Abstract:
A delivery system, including: a material for storing molecules and/or nanoparticles by substantially binding said molecules and/or nanoparticles to said material; means for applying an electric field to said material to release said molecules and/or nanoparticles; and means for applying an ultrasonic signal to said material to transport said molecules and/or nanoparticles through said material to a surface for delivery to an entity.
Abstract:
A dictation system is formed of two personal computers connected by an e-mail system. A hand microphone with control switches is provided at one personal computer and a foot pedal is provided at the other personal computer. The hand microphone is used to generate a dictation file at the first personal computer. In response to actuation of a control switch on the hand microphone, the dictation file is transmitted via the electronic mail system to the second personal computer. The foot pedal at the second personal computer is used to control audible reproduction of the dictation file for the purpose of transcription at the second personal computer. The resulting text file is sent via the electronic mail system from the second personal computer to the first personal computer.
Abstract:
Three dimensional imagery composed of more than two angles of view to provide more than two visual references so that the eyes can scan and compare between more than two visibly distinct angles of view. Further provided is apparatus for viewing an imagery display, including means (10) for retaining the imagery display as a succession of images initiated at predetermined intervals. An optical grid means (20, 22) is arranged with respect to the imagery display retaining means so that the imagery display may be viewed through the grid means. Further included is means (30) for applying a control signal or signals to the optical grid means for causing progressive movement of transmissive (5) and opaque (4) zones across the means whereby the progressive moving transmissive zones provide a set of plural pairs of visually distinct angles of view of the imagery display able to be scanned by the left and right eyes respectively. The control signal is applied and the optical grid means is arranged so that the set of pairs of visually distinct angles of view is provided during each of the aforesaid intervals and therefore for each of the images. Also provided are related methods, an optical grid device, and a medium.
Abstract:
Systems, methods, and devices for protecting a user head are provided. In one example, a computer-implemented method can comprise receiving, by a processor operatively coupled to a helmet device, helmet data comprising at least one of statistical data, statistical models, or natural intelligence algorithms. The computer-implemented method can also comprise inflating, by a gas delivery system of the helmet device, a pressure chamber element of the helmet device based on the helmet data. Furthermore, the computer-implemented method can comprise scanning, by a sensor system of the helmet device, surrounding environments of the helmet device for object data.
Abstract:
An encapsulated fuse for power distribution systems and method for producing such fuses is provided. A fuse includes a body with opposing terminals. A corona shield is generally coaxial with the fuse and substantially extends the full length of the fuse body. The corona shield is electrically coupled at its first end with a first fuse terminal. The second end of the corona shield has a slightly larger cross-section than the first end to provide electrical isolation from the second fuse terminal. The fuse and attached corona shield are molded in an encapsulating material.
Abstract:
A wood pelleter production system for wood chips and the like, having a wood chip infeed deck with integrated dryer deck with an array of inverted louvers that allow air or heated air and flue gas mix to flow up through the chip flow. The chips flow from the infeed dryer deck to a hammer mill to refine the wood chips, the wood chips are transferred within a re-circulatory airflow system, to a refined wood chip dispenser, for consistent delivery and monitoring of the refined wood chips to a chip pelleter. Below the pelleter is a pellet cooling means that cools the pellets as the pellets collect and are drop through a cycling grate onto a pellet transfer means with airflow screens for separating wood fines into a re-circulation airflow system which includes a means for separation of wood particles, wood fines and dust from being released into the atmosphere.
Abstract:
Method, system and program product are disclosed for determining productivity for a tool including a plurality of processing modules. The invention provides an understanding of a relationship between measured variables and overall tool speed by calculating computational components for any empty module, any module speed diversity and any idle tool event, i.e., the potential productivity detractors for the tool. An overall productivity based on each of the computational components may also be determined.
Abstract:
A load carrier has a pair of rails each being affixed to one of the two side walls of the open bed of a pickup truck. Each rail has a longitudinally extending slot along which a bar slides. A bracket is connected to each bar. The two ends of a stringer are connected to the two brackets so that stringer extends transversely across the open bed for supporting a load. Instead of bars, clamps are used to connect the brackets to the rails.
Abstract:
An electrically driven motor capable of smoothly and efficiently raising and lowering a shade of an aircraft window. The aircraft window includes a spool which can slide axially. A cord is tied to one end of the spool, routed around the frame of the window and back to the second end of the spool. Between the first and second ends of the cord, it is tied into a shade rail. The shade rail is attached to the shade and when the shade rail moves up and down, the shade opens and closes. The spool is energized by the electric motor and, when moving in the first direction, causes one end of the spool to take up cord, thus causing the shade rail to move up and the other window to open and, when the electric motor is reversed, the take-up side of the spool becomes the unwind side and the unwind side becomes the take-up side, with the shade moving towards a closed, or down, position.
