摘要： A thin film transistor (“TFT”) array panel includes; a substrate including a display and peripheral area, a display area signal line and a display area TFT disposed in the display area, the display area TFT connected to the display area signal line, a plurality of peripheral area signal lines, a light blocking member disposed on the display area signal line, the display area TFT, and the peripheral area signal lines, a transparent connector connecting one of peripheral area signal lines and another one of the peripheral area signal lines through a contact hole passing through the light blocking member, a pixel electrode connected to the display area TFT, a spacer disposed on a layer above the light blocking member, and a light blocking assistance member composed of the same material as the spacer on the transparent connector, the light blocking assistance member covering at least the contact hole.

A gate line transmits gate signals; a first data line transmits data voltages; a first voltage line alternately transmits a first voltage and a second voltage that is than greater than the first voltage; a first switching element is connected to the gate line and the first data line; a second switching element is connected to the gate line and the first voltage line; a first pixel electrode is connected to the first switching element; and a second pixel electrode is connected to the second switching element. The first pixel electrode and the second pixel electrode form a liquid crystal capacitor along with the liquid crystal layer, and at least one of the first voltage and the second voltage is variable.

摘要： An LCD array substrate includes a gate line, a data line, a thin film transistor, a pixel electrode and a storage line. The pixel electrode is formed in a unit pixel defined by the gate line and the data line and is electrically connected to the thin film transistor. The storage line includes a main storage line, a first sub storage line and a second sub storage line. The first sub storage line overlaps a first edge portion of the pixel electrode by a first length. The first sub storage line overlaps a second edge portion of the pixel electrode opposite to the first edge portion by the first length. This arrangement prevents a misalignment of the pixel electrode from causing a variation in kickback voltage, thereby improving display image quality.
