    摘要： An air compressor that employs splash lubrication to lubricate and cool a piston kit that includes a cylinder and a piston reciprocating in the cylinder. In one form, cooling channels can be coupled to or formed on the cylinder to direct the lubricant that is splashed onto the cylinder to drain in a desired manner, such as helically around the exterior of the cylinder, to more effectively cool the piston kit. In another form, the cylinder can include an annular flange that can be bigger in diameter than a remainder of the cylinder. The annular flange can be received into a counterbore in a cylinder block. A cylinder head, which can be fastened to the cylinder block, can apply a clamping force to the annular flange to clamp or fix the cylinder to cylinder.

    摘要： A method for manufacturing an air compressor assembly including, between a tank welding step and a final assembling step, a step of submerging a welded tank into a dip tank that contains cooling liquid treated with a corrosion inhibitor. In a preferred embodiment, in the submerging step, all air access ports of the welded tank are open to allow the cooling liquid to coat both the inside and outside surfaces of the air tank to maximize corrosion inhibitor protection and increase tank cooling rate. The method for manufacturing an air compressor assembly according to the present invention may be used in manufacturing air compressor assemblies in various styles.

    摘要： A two stage reciprocating piston oil free air compressor having an improved service interval. In a first stage, a first wobble piston is reciprocated in a first cylinder to compress ambient air to an intermediate pressure. In a second stage a second wobble piston is reciprocated in a second cylinder to compress the intermediate pressure air to a desired high pressure. Each wobble piston is provided with a seal which seals to the adjacent cylinder walls as the piston reciprocates and rocks. The stroke of the higher pressure second stage piston is less than the stroke of the lower pressure first stage piston to increase the operating life of the second seal, preferably to substantially the same operating life as the first seal.

The lid assembly includes a yolk which releasably secures the lid to a paint cup. When the paint cup is detached from the lid assembly, the yolk may be moved to a position wherein a socket formed in the yolk engages the nut and the yolk is used as a wrench for loosening or tightening the nut.
