    摘要： A distributed adaptive repeater system includes a donor unit, two or more coverage units (CUs), and an intelligent hub. The donor unit operates to maintain bidirectional wireless communication with a base station of a wireless communications network. Each coverage unit maintains bidirectional wireless communication with transceivers located within a respective coverage area, and is further adapted to independently control a signal path gain to ensure stability of a respective feedback loop to the donor unit. Finally, the intelligent hub is operatively coupled between the donor unit and the coverage units, and adapted to monitor a status of each coverage unit.

    摘要： A repeater system of a wireless network includes at least one adaptive repeater module and a personality module. The adaptive repeater module includes a hardware signal path for processing an input RF signal to generate a corresponding output RF signal; and a controller unit including a micro-processor for controlling parameters of the hardware signal path in accordance with a software program. The personality module is removably connectable to the adaptive repeater module, and includes a computer readable medium for storing the software program.

    摘要： A method of detecting oscillation in an on-frequency repeater having an RF signal path coupled between an input antenna and an output antenna. In accordance with the present invention, a first RF signal power level within the RF signal path is detected during an un-muted period in which transmission of an output RF signal through the output antenna is enabled. A second RF signal power level within the RF signal path is detected during a mute period in which transmission of an RF signal through the output antenna is disabled. The first and second detected RF signal power levels are then compared, which provides an indication of signal leakage, and thus oscillation.
