摘要: An isolated and purified outer membrane protein of a Moraxella strain, particularly M. catarrhalis, having a molecular mass of about 200 kDa, is provided by recombinant means. The about 200 kDa outer membrane protein as well as nucleic acid molecules encoding the same are useful in diagnostic applications and immunogenic compositions, particularly for in vivo administration to a host to confer protection against disease caused by a bacterial pathogen that produces the about 200 kDa outer membrane protein or produces a protein capable of inducing antibodies in a host specifically reactive with the about 200 kDa outer membrane protein.

摘要: An image sensor comprises a plurality of pixels, and each pixel having: a plurality of photoelectric conversion units configured to receive light fluxes that pass through different exit pupil regions of an optical system disposed on an object side of the image sensor and accumulate charges, respectively; a separation portion configured to separate the photoelectric conversion units; and setting means configured to selectively set an electric potential of the separation portion to any one of a plurality of electric potentials. Signals can be separately read out from the photoelectric conversion units. Taking an electric potential of a separation portion that separates the plurality of pixels as a reference potential, the plurality of electric potentials include first to third electric potentials; higher than the reference potential, lower than the reference potential, and higher than the reference potential and lower than the first electric potential.

摘要: GLP-2 peptides and analogs thereof are produced in high yield and with desired, authentic termini by isolation from a GLP-2 peptide multimer in which at least two units of GLP-2 peptide are coupled through a linker that presents an N-terminal acid cleavage site and a C-terminal enzyme cleavage site. In a specific embodiment, [Gly2]hGLP-2 is produced from a multimeric precursor comprising 2-30 units thereof.

摘要: A footwear of the present invention is provided with tank chambers which are disposed to be in contact with an instep, sole and ankle of the user for applying pressure thereto to protect his foot from shocks. The tank chambers are filled with air and air pressure within the tank chambers can be adjusted. The footwear is further provided with a pressure sensor for measuring air pressure within the tank chambers to generate a pressure signal, and a pressure data displaying device for indicating pressure data on the basis of the pressure signal generated by the pressure sensor. Therefore, the user can make sure on the pressure data display device a pressure level at which the most suitable pressure for his foot is obtained. The user is also allowed to extremely easily adjust the air pressure at the above pressure level, watching an indication on the pressure data display device.
