Abstract: The present invention provides a drive system of an AMOLED display and a method. The comparison module (4) is used to compare the first frame of image and a second frame of image in the two adjacent frames of image to be similar or not, and to determine that the second frame of image is a dynamic image or a static image, and to output time count (cnt). The gray scale control module (5) controls output gray scales of corresponding pixels in the second frame of image according the time count (cnt) and the gray scales of respective pixels in the first frame of image: when the second frame of image is the dynamic image, the gray scale control module (5) controls the output gray scales of corresponding pixels in the second frame of image remain to be original gray scales; when the second frame of image is the static image, the gray scale control module (5) controls the output gray scales of corresponding pixels in the second frame of image gradually decrease along with increase of the time count (cnt) in a specific time counting duration, to make a display brightness of the static image slowly decrease. The display effect is not influenced and the lifetime of the AMOLED display is also raised.

Abstract: A brightness regulation device of a display device is disclosed. The device includes: a data converter for converting an original power voltage generated by a power voltage device into an original digital value, and converting a real-time power voltage of each pixel in multiple pixel regions into a real-time digital value; a timing controller for obtaining a difference digital value according to each real-time digital value and the original digital value, obtaining the brightness regulation coefficient according to the difference digital value, and processing an image signal inputted from an external portion according to the brightness regulation coefficient in order to generate a scanning control signal and a data control signal. A brightness regulation method of a display device and a display device are also disclosed. The present invention compensates the brightness of the pixel to decrease the IR voltage drop (IR-Drop) to improve a uniformity of the display picture.

Abstract: A method of reducing the power consumption of the display panels includes: obtaining a brightness of each of pixels of an image to be displayed on the display panel; calculating an average brightness of the image in accordance with the brightness of each of the pixels of the image; obtaining a brightness adjustment coefficient in accordance with the average brightness; decreasing the brightness of each of the pixels of the image in accordance with the brightness adjustment coefficient; and enhancing a contrastness between the pixels of the image in accordance with the brightness adjustment coefficient. In addition, a system of reducing the power consumption of the display panels is also disclosed. In this way, the power consumption of the display panel may be reduced, and the contrastness of the displayed image may be enhanced.

Abstract: An OLED data compensation circuit and method, and an OLED display device are disclosed. The OLED data compensation circuit includes: a sensing circuit for detecting a drifting amount of a threshold voltage of thin film transistors (TFTs); a timing controller connected with the sensing circuit for receiving the drifting amount, and outputting voltage control signals and source driving signals, which controlling a voltage of data signals outputted by a source driver; a reference voltage output circuit connected with the timing controller, is configured for outputting a first reference voltage in accordance with the voltage control signals, the voltage of the data signals and the first reference voltage are configured for compensating the drifting amount of the threshold voltage of the driving TFTs to compensate data of the OLED. In this way, the OLED data compensation is not limited only by the source driver, the OLED data compensation may be enhanced.

In this way, the human eye cannot bring discomfort and enhance the panel viewing comfort.

Abstract: The present invention provides an AMOLED IR drop compensation system and method. The AMOLED IR drop compensation system includes an AMOLED display panel that is divided into a plurality of zones, an image detection module, a data signal correction module, and an IR drop compensation module and may achieve zone-wise linear compensation for IR drop. The AMOLED IR drop compensation method includes dividing an AMOLED display panel in a direction of extension of a power line into a plurality of zones, applying an image detection module to detect a data signal of an image to be displayed and determine if the image to be displayed is a pure color image, applying a data correction module to convert the data signal of a pure color image to be displayed, and applying an IR drop compensation module to conduct zone-wise linear IR drop compensation for each of the plurality of zones by adjusting the variation of the data signal of each of the sub-pixels of each of the zones of the AMOLED display panel. The present invention can effectively compensate IR drop and overcome the problem of the image quality being not homogeneous caused by IR drop when an AMOLED display panel is displaying a pure color image.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a display panel and the driving method thereof. It divides the pixel electrodes of the display panel into multiple groups according to the light color allowed passing through. That is, each said pixel electrode allows the light with the same color to pass through; during one frame display, the data driver applies independent Gamma voltage to each said pixel electrode. After the gate driver drives the gate line connected with a group of the pixel electrodes, it drives the gate line connected with next group of the pixel electrodes in sequence, so that it can independently adjust the Gamma voltage applied to the pixels with different colors.

Abstract: A method for driving a display device includes: dividing static frames displayed by the display device into a first frame and a second frame, which comprises a first sub-frame and a second sub-frame; outputting grey-scale images during the display period of the first frame and the first sub-frame; outputting dark state images during the display period of the second sub-frame, where the length of the display period of the second sub-frame is proportional to that of the static frames. The present invention also proposes a display device using the method. The brightness of the display device can be dynamically adjusted, preventing the device from operating in high brightness for a long period of time, and prolonging its lifespan.
