摘要： A real-time image recording/reproducing apparatus which receives an image signal and compresses the image signal so as to produce compressed data which the apparatus stores. The apparatus judges whether or not sufficient empty space for storing the compressed data exists. The apparatus stores the compressed data if sufficient empty space exists, or allocates required empty space by releasing oldest data among the stored compressed data if sufficient empty space does not exist. The apparatus receives a replay instruction and expands the compressed data in response to the replay instruction so as to produce image data, and outputs the image data.

The luminous member includes a flexible light-transmitting container having at least a glass ampule within the container. The glass ampule and the container are each filled with respective solutions for causing chemical luminescence when the respective solutions are mixed. The container is flat-shaped and has a luminous portion where luminous light emits. The luminous portion has pictures or characters thereon.

摘要： A coding method comprises a hierarchical coding step of performing hierarchical coding for data to be coded to generate first and second code sequences, each comprising a plurality of code layers; a storage control step of storing the first and second code sequences in a storage region of a code storage means having successive addresses, respectively from opposed ends of the storage region, according to priority given to the code layers; and a priority judge step of storing a code layer in either of the first and second code sequences, which code layer has the highest priority at present, prior to the other code sequence, when an overlap occurs in the storage control step. Therefore, the code layers are stored in the storage element having limited capacity with high efficiency, whereby the utilization efficiency of the storage capacity is improved.

摘要： An electrostatic image developer is provided which has superior fixation properties and anti-offset properties, exhibits stable charge behavior even during continuous printing, and has superior durability and permits a high-quality image to be obtained. This electrostatic image developer is a toner composition containing colored resin particles comprising at least a binder resin, a colorant, and a charge control agent, wherein (1) an epoxy compound with a valence of 5 or more, (2) a polybasic acid compound having a valence of 2 or more selected from the group consisting of polybasic acids and/or acid anhydrides and/or lower alkyl esters thereof, and (3) a polyvalent alcohol having a valence of 2 or more, are employed as chief structural components of the binder resin, and a polyester resin is produced by reacting components (1)-(3) simultaneously, or by first reacting components (1) and (3), and subsequently reacting component (2), or by first reacting components (1) and (2), and subsequently reacting component (3).

摘要： According to a method and a system of the present invention, a gray-level data is generated from a binary image while reducing the vertical brightness transition, and a display with a reduced flicker is enabled in an interlaced scanning system. A filtering operation is conducted with respect to each of the pixels in a dot matrix by using the data of each pixel and the dot matrix data of the pixel adjacent to the pixel in a vertical direction, thereby generating a gray-level data and writing the data into a frame memory. A display with a reduced flicker may be conducted by transforming the gray-level data into a predetermined set of colors consisting of a foreground color, a background color, and an intermediate color thereof.
