摘要: In a rolling method applied to a multi-roll strip rolling mill composed of not less than four rolls, one of the zero point of the roll positioning devices and the deformation characteristic of the strip rolling mill or alternatively both the zero point of the roll positioning devices and the deformation characteristic of the strip rolling mill are found from a measured value of the thrust counterforces in the axial direction of the roll acting on at least all the rolls except for the backup rolls in the kiss-roll tightening state and also from a measured value of the roll forces of the backup roll acting on the backup roll chocks of the top and the bottom backup roll in the vertival direction. According to the thus obtained zero point of the roll positioning devices or the deformation characteristic of the strip rolling mill, the setting and control of the roll forces is executed when rolling is carried out.

摘要: A control method of strip travel for ensuring, in a tandem rolling operation for metal strips, stable positioning of rolled work during the rolling process including the rolling of the leading and trailing ends of the work, and a tandem rolling mill in which the method is used are disclosed. In the control method of strip travel for the tandem strip rolling equipment comprising at least two roll stands and including between the roll stands a rolled work tension measuring device having independent tension detectors on both working and driving sides and a lateral position measuring device for measuring the lateral position of rolled work, the lateral position of the rolled work at the position of the rolled work tension measuring device is detected directly or estimated from an output of the lateral position measuring device, a tension difference representing the difference between tensions actually acting on the working and driving sides of the rolled work at the position of the rolled work tension measuring device is computed from the detected or estimated lateral position and the outputs of the working-side and driving-side detectors of the rolled work tension measuring device, and the difference between screwdown settings on the working and driving sides of each roll stand is controlled aiming at reducing the tension difference to zero.

The method comprises the steps of directly measuring, or calculating on the basis of a predetermined measurement value, either one, or both, of left-right balance of a rolling direction force acting on a rolled material from the pinch rolls and the left-right balance of a rolling direction force acting on the work roll of the rolling mill through the rolled material; and controlling a left-right swivelling component of a roll gap of the rolling mill on the basis of the measured value or the calculated value of the left-right balance of the rolling direction force.

摘要: A rolling method and a rolling apparatus for flat rolled metal materials stably produce flat-rolled metal having no or extremely little camber. The rolling mill having work rolls with split backup rolls supporting at least one work roll is provided with at least one pair of pinch rolls. The pinch rolls apply tension to the rolled material. The difference between the rolling direction force acting on the pinch rolls at the right and left sides is calculated. Optionally, the rolling direction force acting on the work rolls at the right and left sides is also calculated. The left-right difference of the roll gap of the work rolls is controlled as a result of the calculated difference.
