    摘要: A novel visitor conversation system comprising a single transmitter-receiver. The distance to an incoming person is measured by receiving an ultrasonic wave signal propagated from the transmitter-receiver and reflected on the person. When the distance is shorter than a predetermined detection distance, it is decided that the person is a visitor. The transmitter-receiver further propagates an ultrasonic wave amplitude-modulated on an audio signal, and the signal received is demodulated for the purpose of a speech. The visitor detection and the conversation with a vehicle carrying a speaking device are performed by a single medium.

    摘要: In a zigzag running warning system for automotive vehicles which detects and gives a warning of zigzag running of a vehicle, a terrestrial magnetism sensor generates an electric signal having an amplitude varying in dependence on the direction of travel of the vehicle with respect to the direction of the terrestrial magnetism. An electronic unit in the system discriminates that vehicle is running in a zigzag direction when the amplitude of the electric signals changes in excess of a predetermined value at a period which is less than a predetermined time, and informs the driver of the zigzag running by a speaker, lamp or the like.

    摘要: A luggage door unlocking device for a vehicle, by which a luggage door of the vehicle can be unlocked without using an unlocking key, is disclosed. The device comprises a portable transmitter for generating an unlocking signal of ultrasonic wave, an ultrasonic wave receiver which is mounted on the vehicle and which receives an ultrasonic wave from the portable transmitter, a discriminating means for subjecting the signal received by the ultrasonic wave receiver to waveform shaping to obtain a high-frequency pulse train and detecting a high-frequency pulse train of a predetermined pattern to obtain the unlocking signal, and an unlocking mechanism for unlocking the luggage door of the vehicle upon receipt of the unlocking signal after discrimination by the discriminating means. The transmitter has a power supply switch which is enclosed in a case having a clip for attachment to the clothes of the person who carries the transmitter and which is closed upon attachment of the clip to the clothes.

    摘要: An ultrasonic detection circuit for detecting obstacles behind a backing motor vehicle, and an ultrasonic communication circuit are automatically switched such that the ultrasonic detection circuit is operable only when the communication circuit is not in use. Furthermore, the ultrasonic detection circuit may be operated only when the motor vehicle is in one or more particular operating conditions. The system comprises a rear ultrasonic transducer used for both the detection circuit and for the communication circuit so that detection of obstacles behind the vehicle and communication with another motor vehicle behind the vehicle are possible, and a front ultrasonic transducer used for only the communication circuit so that communication with another motor vehicle ahead of the vehicle is also possible. The rear and front transducers are directly connected to a call signal responding circuit of the communication circuit so that the call signal responding circuit is capable of responding to a call signal from a vehicle ahead of or behind the vehicle.

    摘要: A signal transmitting device for transmitting signals from operating switches which are provided on a steering wheel of an automobile to an electric load provided on a body thereof, is disclosed. The device comprises one annular electrode which is provided on a lower end surface of a steering wheel boss rotating with the steering wheel and another annular electrode which is provided on an upper end surface of a steering column cover fixed to the body so as to be opposed to the one annular electrode. These annular electrodes form a capacitor. The device further comprises a signal generating circuit composed of a plurality of resistors having different resistance values which are selectively connected to the one electrode provided on the steering wheel by use of the above described switches, an RC oscillator circuit composed of the above described capacitor which is connected to another annular electrode on the steering column cover and a signal receiving circuit which detects the change in output frequency of the oscillator circuit. The signal generating circuit is provided on the steering wheel while the oscillator circuit and the signal receiving circuit are provided on the body. By operating the switches, the resistor to be connected to the electrode provided on the steering wheel is changed so that the impedance of the line including the capacitor is changed. As a result, the output frequency of the oscillator circuit is changed by steps.

    摘要: A luggage door unlocking device for a vehicle by which a luggage door of vehicle can be unlocked without using an unlocking key is disclosed. The device includes a portable transmitter for generating an unlocking signal, a receiver which is mounted on a vehicle for receiving and discriminating the unlocking signal when the transmitter approaches the receiver and a luggage door unlocking mechanism for operating an unlocking mechanism of the vehicle when the receiver receives the unlocking signal. The transmitter has a walk detector for detecting the periodical vibrations when the person carrying the transmitter is walking which generates a walk detecting signal. Also, a switch turns on or off upon receiving the walk detecting signal from the walk detector. In the luggage door unlocking device, the transmitter having the switch which is turned off upon receiving the walk detecting signal, the transmitter begins to generate the unlocking signal just after the person carrying the transmitter stops walking so that the luggage door is automatically unlocked just after he stops walking.

    摘要: A liquid quantity detecting device includes a float-type liquid-quantity meter and a torsion bar-type liquid meter. In the float-type liquid-quantity meter, the liquid quantity is detected by a float in a tank and the position of the float is converted to an electric signal by a variable resistor. The torsion bar-type liquid meter includes housings fixed to the tank, torsion bars, one end of each being fixed to the tank by the housings and the other end of each being fixed to a supporting member so that the torsion bars are twisted by weight of the tank, twisted angle detection means for detecting the twisted angle of the torsion bars, and an electrical processor for supplying a signal corresponding to the quantity of liquid in the tank after receiving a signal from the twisted angle detector. When the liquid quantity in the tank is larger than a predetermined quantity, the liquid quantity, for example, the quantity of gasoline in a gasoline tank, is measured by the floating-type liquid-quantity meter. When the liquid quantity in the tank is smaller than a predetermined quantity, the liquid quantity is displayed precisely and accurately by the torsion bar-type liquid meter.
