摘要: A semiconductor device and a manufacture method for the semiconductor device, the method comprising the steps of forming an insulating film on the surface of a semiconductor substrate, forming contact holes in the insulating layer to expose the surface of the semiconductor substrate, selectively depositing a metal film, which contains aluminum as a main ingredient, on the exposed surface to form an electrodes in each the contact hole, and forming a wiring made of a second metal, which contains as a principal ingredient an element other than aluminum, on both the insulating layer and the electrode. Preferably, the upper surface of each electrode is substantially flat in a connecting portion between the electrode and the wiring, and a relationship of A.gtoreq.C is established where A is a length of one side of the electrode's upper surface and C is a width of the wiring in the connecting portion therebetween. The metal film is produced at a high deposition rate and a high throughput while ensuring good reliability and presenting superior film characteristics such as step coverage and electro migration.

摘要: A planar light source of the present invention has three lamps along a side face of a rectangular light guide plate. The lamps are arranged along an incidence plane which is one side plane of the light guide plate. The three lamps are arranged so as to be kept apart from each other at a given interval, and two lamps are arranged in close proximity to the incidence plane that is one side plane of the light guide plate. One lamp is arranged away from the incidence plane that is one side plane of the light guide plate with respect to the two lamps. A lamp reflector is formed continuously so as to become close to the three lamps and surround the respective three lamps, and assumes a substantially convex cross-sectional shape.

摘要: An IOT controller of an image formation device is provided with an NvRAM. Correction coefficients relating to various parameters, which are specified for each of paper types in advance, are stored in the NvRAM. The NvRAM is provided with a user setting region, and when it is desired to form an image at an unusual paper, parameters of this paper can be inputted by operation of a control panel. When image formation is to be implemented, the IOT controller, after selection of a paper type at the control panel, reads out correction coefficients of the parameters relating to the selected paper type from the NvRAM, implements transfer processing in accordance with these correction coefficients, and forms a high-quality image.

摘要: In a vent-free single-duct drainage piping system for vertical installation in multi-storied buildings with horizontally extending branches to receive drain from sources of different floors of the building installed, a joint for connecting vertical pipe sections of the drainage piping system is disclosed, which comprises an upper pipe portion having a spiral axis between opposite end portions thereof and adapted for connection to the upstream side of the vertical drainage system to receive drain therfrom. A lower pipe portion is comprised of a first vertical passage connected in direct fluid flow relationship with the upper pipe portion and a second vertical passage having at a side thereof side ports adapted for connection to horizontal drainage pipes laid at a particular floor of the building. The first vertical passage receives drain from the upper pipe portion and the second vertical passage receives drain from the horizontal pipes. Both first and second passages merge at lower ends thereof into a common outlet port adapted for connection to the downstream side of the system. The helix of the upper pipe section is provided to reduce the velocity of the drain falling from the drainage system, thereby lessening pulsations and sounds developed in drain water.
