    摘要: A system for browsing and editing video, in accordance with the present invention, includes a video source for providing a video document which includes audio information, and an audio classifier coupled to the video source, the audio classifier being adapted to classify audio segments of the audio information into a plurality of classes. An audio spectrogram generator is coupled to the video source for generating spectrograms for the audio information to check that the audio segments have been identified correctly by the audio classifier. A browser is coupled to the audio classifier for searching the classified audio segments for editing and browsing the video document. A method for editing and browsing a video, in accordance with the invention, includes providing a video clip including audio, and segmenting and labeling the audio into music, silence and speech classes in real-time. The step of determining pitch for the speech class to identify and check changes in speakers and browsing the changes in speaker and the audio labels to associate the changes in speaker and the audio labels with frames of the video clip are also included.

    摘要: A system for interactively organizing and browsing video automatically processes video, creating a video table of contents (VTOC), while providing easy-to-use interfaces for verification, correction, and augmentation of the automatically extracted video structure. Shot detection, shot grouping and VTOC generation are automatically determined without making restrictive assumptions about the structure or content of the video. A nonstationary time series model of difference metrics is used for shot boundary detention. Color and edge similarities are used for shot grouping. Observation about the structure of a wide class of videos are used for the generating the table of contents. The use of automatic processing in conjuction with input from the user provides a meaningful video organization.

The method can deal with incomplete or partial volumetric data in registration and correct patient global motion prior to subtraction even when it is coupled with local unconscious/nonrigid movements. A method for selecting key-frames according to one aspect of the present invention is based on quantifiable measures such as the amount of motion and behavior of curves defined statistically or non-statistically, i.e. by finding the monotonically increasing segments of a curve, instead of thresholding the statistically defined image dissimilarity measures. In one aspect of the present invention, a method for selecting key-frames from video data comprises the steps of: partitioning video data into segments; generating a temporal activity curve for dissimilarity measures based on one of frame differences, color histograms, camera motion, and a combination thereof, for each segment; and sampling the temporal activity curve to select at least one key-frame for each segment.

    摘要: An automatic vehicle steering system is provided for automatically steering a vehicle along a lane in a road. A video sensor is included for generating a plurality of frames of video images of the road. A computer processor analyzes the frames to determine the lane boundaries of the road and the position of the vehicle. The system advantageously utilizes engagement of a cruise control switch and a steering control switch to initiate processing of the image data and automatic steering of the vehicle. In such manner, the reliability and efficiency of the system is increased while at the same time minimizing complexity and cost.
