    摘要: A window molding for automobiles has an elongate leg fitted into a gap between a perimeter of a front window glass and a window frame. The molding holds the perimeter of the front window glass between an inner support and an outer support. A head is disposed at one end of the leg, the head having a lateral portion thereof extending over the outer support. A guide connects the lateral portion of the head and the outer support, the guide defining a distance between the lateral portion of the head and the outer support and being deformed according to a respective position along the perimeter of the front window glass. A guide groove is defined at least in part by the guide and opened toward the front window glass at least at side edges of the front window glass. A veil lip is disposed on the lateral portion of the head and forms an obtuse angle therewith at least at the side edges of the front window glass so that the veil lip extends toward the front window glass and defines another part of the guide groove. The guide is deformed at the upper edge of the front window glass to shorten the distance between the lateral portion of the head and the outer support so that the veil lip has a portion thereof bearing on the front window glass along the upper edge of the front window glass.

The head is formed to permit the creation of two different water guide portions extending along the molding, one that will function along the roof line and another along the side edge of the windshield. The side water guide portion prevents water from going from the windshield to the side windows. The roof line water guide portion opens toward the window frame and prevents water from flowing from the roof onto the windshield.

    摘要: An automobile decoration molding includes a decoration molding body formed by extrusion-molding a synthetic resin material; and an end part formed by remolding the end portion of the decoration molding body with a die. At least the end portion of the decoration molding body which is to be formed into the end part is formed by using the synthetic resin material kneaded with electrically conductive metallic powder, and the end portion of the decoration molding body which is to be formed into the end part is obliquely cut in such a manner that the resultant cut becomes larger in the direction opposite to a decorative surface of the decoration molding body, and the end portion thus processed is remolded with a die consisting of an upper half die and a lower half die.

    摘要: An automobile window molding includes an elongated leg having an embedded core member, an outer head portion having a contact portion, an inner support portion, a seal lip and a position control portion. The molding is suited to position a window in a supporting window frame. The head portion is integrally formed at an upper end of the leg and extends over a portion of the front widow glass. The contact portion is defined by a projection positioned between the head portion and the inner support portion so as to touch the end surface of the front window glass. The inner support portion is formed at a lower end of the leg and is configured to touch an inner surface of the front window glass. The perimeter of the front window glass is held between the head portion and the inner support portion. At least one seal lip is formed on the leg so as to contact a window frame. The position control portion is preferably bent towards the window glass, such that the projection is disposed to be closer to the inner support portion than to the core member.

    摘要: A door lower molding that has a main body molded of a synthetic resin by extrusion. The main body is fixed along a lower end of a door of a vehicle. The main body has a seal lip extended thereon, which closely contacts a rocker molding of the vehicle body when the door is closed. A core made of a synthetic resin is embedded in the main body. The seal lip may be covered on its outer side with a skin which has a flaw resistance characteristic and on its inner side with a sealing layer including silicone to prevent freeze-sticking to the vehicle body.

    摘要: A method of molding a steering wheel of the type having no core in its ring is provided. The mold is formed with a first cavity for forming the ring and a second cavity arranged therein with a slide core for forming cooling members. With the slide core being in a lower position, a polypropylene resin in molten state is injected to fill the first and second cavities. The, resin in the second cavity is cooled and set first because a volume thereof is less than that of the first cavity. After this, the slide core is moved to embed the cooling members into the first cavity so that the inset resin in the central portion of the first cavity may be cooled by the cooling members. Then, the unset resin in the first cavity has its solidification accelerated by contact with the cooling members. The steering wheel is extracted from the mold after the resin in the first cavity has been completely set.
