    摘要: A screen data transmitting device for transmitting screen data to a screen display terminal through a network. A generation device generates a display image data. A storage device stores compression properties information associating a plurality of compression schemes with a plurality of classes of graphical user interface (GUI) components. A selection device selects one of the compression schemes with respect to a GUI component that is present in a region of the display image data. A compression device compresses the region of the display image data according to the selected compression scheme. Then, a transmission device transmits the screen data including the compressed display image data to the screen display terminal.

    摘要: A memory controller controls a semiconductor storage device including nonvolatile memory cells. The controller includes a generating circuit, and a selection circuit. The generating circuit generates first data based on a second data. The selection circuit retains a cumulative value whose each digit is a cumulative result in each bit of data which is already written in the memory cells. The selection circuit selects one of the first data. A selected first data has a better average of digits in a sum of each bit of the selected first data and each digit of the cumulative value than an unselected first data. The selection circuit retains the sum concerning the selected first data as the new cumulative value.

    摘要: A scheme for image selection in an image transmission system for transmitting images from an image source to an image display device, capable of eliminating a need for the viewer to select the desired image by actually watching individual images and easily selecting the desired image in which a specific desired target of the viewer is shown. Feature information for identifying targets shown in each image is obtained, while a desired feature information for identifying a desired target specified by the viewer is entered. Then, the desired image which contains the desired target specified by the viewer is selected according to the obtained feature information and the entered desired feature information. The feature information may be obtained by recognizing targets shown in each image provided by the image source, or may be generated in advance in correspondence to images provided by the image source.

In the system, each of the services provided by all server processes is registered in the service manager in correspondence with an executability condition for judging whether each service is executed, such that the service manager selects one of the server processes which is providing the desired service indicated by the inquiry transmitted from the client process and which is judged to be executable according to the executability condition registered at the service manager, and the client process requests the desired service the selected one of the server processes. The system can utilize a transaction processing for a nested transaction in which a commit processing for the processes of the sub-transactions which are incapable of executing the nested transaction, is completed concurrently with a completion of the commit processing for the top level transaction.
