摘要: A base film for a thermal transfer ribbon which is a biaxially oriented polyester film comprising polyethylene-2,6-naphthalene dicarboxylate as a main constitutional element, wherein in a temperature-dimensional change curve under load in a longitudinal direction of the film, the dimensional change from the original length of the film at temperatures of up to 200° C. is 1.0% or less and the dimensional change from the original length of the film at temperatures of up to 230° C. is 3.0% or less. This film may have a coating layer of at least one water-soluble or water-dispersible resin selected from the group consisting of an urethane resin, polyester resin, acrylic resin and vinyl resin-modified polyester resin, on one side thereof. The base film gives a thermal transfer ribbon which has excellent adhesion to a sublimation-type ink layer and excellent printing performance without blurred ink at the time of high-speed printing and without wrinkles formed by friction with a head.

摘要: A method of preparation of an absorbent composite in which an aqueous solution containing a water-soluble radical polymerization initiator and a water-soluble ethylenically unsaturated monomer which can be converted into an absorbent polymer by polymerization is applied to a substrate, and the monomer is polymerized while the substrate to which the aqueous solution is applied is, on both the sides, held in contact with polymerization-inert surfaces facing each other. A continuous manufacturing method includes the sequential steps of continuously passing a substrate through (1) a region applying to the substrate an aqueous solution containing a water-soluble radical polymerization initiator and a water-soluble ethylenically unsaturated monomer which can be converted into an absorbent polymer by polymerization, and (2) a region of polymerizing the monomer while maintaining the substrate, on both the sides, in contact with polymerization-inert surfaces facing each other.

摘要: A memory system including a bus 10, 11, a memory 17, a memory controller 16, a first device 13 having a cache, and a second device 15, all connected to the bus, wherein the memory controller includes a buffer 20 for temporarily storing cache data and write data that the second device writes in the memory. The buffer of the memory controller temporarily stores cached data and the write data to be written on write access to the memory by the second device, which enables maintenance of data coherency while avoiding a write access retry by the second device.

The production process for an irregular shape basic water-absorbent resin comprises the step of reacting a basic resin and a crosslinking agent in order to obtain the basic water-absorbent resin, with the process forwarding a crosslinking reaction and pulverizing the resultant product at the same time. The first production process for a water-absorbing agent comprises the step of blending an acidic water-absorbent resin with the basic water-absorbent resin obtained by the above-mentioned process. The second production process for a water-absorbing agent comprises the step of obtaining a mixture of an acidic water-absorbent resin and the basic water-absorbent resin by coexisting with the acidic water-absorbent resin when carrying out the crosslinking reaction and the pulverization in the above-mentioned process.

摘要: The present invention provides a process in which no surfactant is used, or even if the surfactant is used the amount thereof is as small as possible, thus stably obtaining a suspension to carry out a crosslinking reaction. A production process for a crosslinked polymer particle, comprising the steps of: forming a suspension in which liquid drops of a first phase are dispersed in a second phase by stirring both phases in the presence of an inorganic particle, wherein the first phase includes a high-molecular compound and a crosslinking agent, and wherein the first phase and the second phase are insoluble in each other, and wherein the affinity of the inorganic particle for water is different from that of the high-molecular compound; and carrying out a crosslinking reaction. Furthermore, an approximately spherical crosslinked polymer particle, which is free from a surfactant.
