Abstract:
A wheel tread part 2 of a tread is constituted of a longitudinal main groove 3 formed in a circumferential direction via a center of a width direction, a plurality of longitudinal subgrooves 4 formed on both side parts of the longitudinal main groove 3 in the circumferential direction, and a plurality of traverse grooves 5 formed in a width direction to intersect the longitudinal main and subgrooves 3, 4, and divided into a plurality of blocks 6. Each of the plurality of blocks 6 is provided with a one-end-open sipe 9, and formed so that rigidity in the width direction can be higher in an end a of a center side region compared with an end b of a shoulder side region. Since the rigidity of the end a of the center side region is higher, a reaction force is generated in accordance with a steering angle from the start of changing the same.
Abstract:
A pneumatic tire is reinforced with cords made of polyvinyl alcohol based fibers, and meets the following requirements:(1) A tenacity, S (g/d) of the cords taken out from the tire meets a relation: S.gtoreq.14.5-12N.sub.T in which N.sub.T is a coefficient of twist, which is represented by N.sub.T =N.times..sqroot.0.139.times.D/.rho..times.10-3. N, D and .rho. are a number of twist (turns/10 cm), a half of a total denier of the cords, and a specific density of the cords, respectively.(2) A tenacity-retaining percentage of the cords in an absolutely dried state is not less than 90% of that before the treatment with boiling water. The absolutely dried state means that after the cord is treated with boiling water at 120.degree. C. while being maintained at a constant length, the cord is dried.

Each of the bundles of the fibers are not twisted.

Abstract:
A pneumatic radial tire comprises a belt comprised of plural belt layers, in which at least one belt layer is formed by arranging particular twisted cords, which are obtained by twisting particular filament-resin composite bodies, at a particular end count. In this tire, the weight is light, the rolling resistance and steering stability as well as the resistances to bending of belt cord in the rapid turning and breaking of belt cord in the running on bad road are considerably excellent.
