    摘要: A device including a torsion bar rotatably mounted on the vehicle frame transversely thereof and a pair of rock arms extending integrally from the opposite ends of the torsion bar at right angles thereto and connected with a right and a left wheel, respectively. An abutment arm is fixed to the torsion bar at the middle thereof and engageable with a stop pad provided on the vehicle frame, when either or both of the wheels are moved down, to restrain further downward movement thereof. Thus, the spring rate of air springs associated with the respective wheels is in effect increased as the loads thereon are reduced, particularly in a lower load region.

    摘要: A diaphragm arranged in a rigid casing to define therein a chamber to be filled with a mass of gaseous spring medium and another chamber to be held under oil pressure load is normally bulged into the oil chamber and formed on both surfaces thereof with dense clusters of elastic piles or projections which are compressed against each other only when the diaphragm is displaced from its neutral position to the load side as the load is reduced. Such displacement of the diaphragm is resisted by the elastic projections so as to increase the spring constant of the device in the lower load region and, with the device, used as a spring for automotive suspension, the pitching and rolling movements of the vehicle body are minimized.

    摘要: An air leveling system for a vehicle wherein a check valve is connected between independent front and rear air lines for respectively feeding pneumatic pressure to front and rear shock absorbers. At least when the pneumatic pressure of the rear side shock absorbers is excessively higher than that of the front side shock absorbers, the pneumatic pressure at the rear side is discharged by the check valve to balance the pneumatic pressures at the front and rear sides to thereby hold the vehicle height at a predetermined level. The system provides for automatic correction of imbalance between the vehicle heights at the front and rear sides, particularly when the rear vehicle height is higher.

    摘要: A free-link, one end thereof being pivoted on the piston pin while the other end thereof being pivoted on the cross-link, is restrained by swinging movement of the cross-link about the pivoting point on the crankcase, so that in an intermediate position of the reciprocating movement of the piston, the inclination of the free-link to the reciprocating direction of the piston (the piston axial line direction) is set to be small while the straight line connecting the top and bottom dead centers of the crank pin together meets approximately at a right angle with the straight line connecting the pivoting point of the cross-link on the crankcase to the pivoting point thereof on the connection rod. Thereby, wear and tear on the sliding surfaces due to the frictional loads on the sliding surface between the piston/cylinder and on the crank pin are reduced and loss of transmission power is also reduced.
