Inclination angles θ1 and θ2 satisfy ΔF·tan θ2>M·tan θ1, in which: θ1 is an inclination angle at which a straight line coupling the center of the radius arm bush to the center of a rear wheel is inclined to a horizontal line, to lower toward the rear wheel, viewed from a side of the vehicle in a steady state; θ2 is an inclination angle at which an axis of expansion and shrink of the shock absorber is inclined to a vertical direction, to allow the shock absorber's upper end to more forward from the shock absorber's lower end; M is an unsprung mass of the suspension; and ΔF is an amount of increase in a vertical load on the rear wheel from the steady state during a shrinkwise stroke of the shock absorber.

摘要: A vehicle suspension system smoothly changes a vehicle posture with respect to a steering force and a steering angle by minimizing a kinematic roll at an initial turning stage, thereby allowing a driver to obtain the sensation of maneuvering the vehicle well. The suspension system includes a front suspension having geometry satisfying that a caster angle is +3° to +5°, a caster trail is +20 to +30 mm, an intersection point between a kingpin axis and ground is located on an inner side in a vehicle width direction of a center of a tire contact patch, and an anhedral angle of a lower arm is +2.8° to +7.2°. A rear suspension includes five links and has geometry satisfying that a virtual kingpin axis extends near the center of a tire contact patch of a rear wheel assembly and extends vertically at −2° to 0°.

摘要: Provided is a vehicle which, when a pair of left and right wheels are displaced with respect to the vehicle body due to the difference in drive force between the wheels, the two wheels are reliably displaced vertically in opposite directions such that neither wheel is disproportionately displaced and such that both wheels are steered during said displacement of both wheels vertically in opposite directions. The pair of left and right front wheels (3) are rotatably supported by a front wheel support member (29). An electric motor (25) applies drive torque to the front wheels (3) individually. A vehicle body frame (7) supports the front wheel support member (29) to allow rotation about a forwardly inclined steering axis (Lf). By allowing rotation of the front wheel support member (29) about the steering axis (Lf), the front wheels (3) are displaced relatively to one another vertically in opposite directions with respect to the vehicle body frame (7) and the front wheels (3) are steered. The front wheel support members (29) rotate due to the difference in torque applied to the front wheels (3) by the electric motor (25).

摘要: A vehicle having a hub carrier coupled to a body of the vehicle by a camber mechanism, the vehicle having first and second mounting points by means of which the camber mechanism is coupled to the body of the vehicle, wherein: (i) the camber mechanism comprises: a first wing attached to the first mounting point by a first rotationally free joint; a second wing attached to the second mounting point by a second rotationally free joint and attached to the first wing by an inter-wing joint that permits relative motion of the first and second wings; and a tie link attached by a third rotationally free joint to the first wing and running to the vehicle body; (ii) the hub carrier is attached to the first wing by a first hub carrier joint permitting relative rotation of the first wing and the hub carrier about only a single axis, which axis substantially intersects a camber axis; (iii) the hub carrier is attached to the second wing by a second hub carrier joint permitting relative rotation of the second wing and the hub carrier about only a single axis, which axis substantially intersects the camber axis; and (iv) the inter-wing joint and the first and second hub carrier joints provide freedom of motion such that the hub carrier can camber relative to the vehicle body about the camber axis.
