    摘要: The aluminum plate oil cooler includes a plurality of pairs of plates that are secured along their perimeter to define an oil flow path. The plates include embossed regions that are formed to provide inlet and outlet ports for the oil. Top and bottom reinforcement plates are positioned at the top and bottom of the plurality of pairs of plates. An internal center is positioned between the plates to increase the heat transfer area and turbulate the oil within the oil cooler. An external center is positioned between each of the plurality of pairs to increase the thermal transfer area on the coolant side of the oil cooler. The external center covers the entire surface of the plates and includes holes formed to correspond with the embossed regions on the plates.

    摘要: A liquid-cooled heat sink for use in combination with a heat exchanger to cool electronic or electrical devices attached to said heat sink comprises a metal block having a plurality of circular passageways therethrough defined by cylindrical walls. An inlet is in fluid communication with one end of the passageways for receiving a cooling liquid, and an outlet is in fluid communication with an opposite end of the passageways for outputting the cooling liquid. At least one tape insert is mounted within at least one of the circular passageways, wherein the tape insert longitudinally bisects the circular passageway and further wherein edges of the tape insert abut cylindrical wall.

    摘要: A refrigerant storage device that arranges two end plates to form a cavity and includes a turbulator plate within the cavity. The turbulator plate is arranged within the cavity to reinforce the cavity by providing a plurality of reinforcement portions between the end plates. The cavity is sized and the turbulator plate is configured so a liquid portion of refrigerant flowing through the cavity collects onto the turbulator plate. The device has a rectangular shape that simplifies vehicle packaging and allows the device to be readily integrated into a plate-type refrigerant-to-liquid coolant heat exchanger. The device is formed by a stacking arrangement of parts that provides for a readily scalable design.

    摘要: A plate-type heat exchanger having a first heat exchanger portion configured to receive a refrigerant flow and a hot side coolant flow having a lower temperature than the refrigerant flow, a second heat exchanger portion configured to receive the refrigerant flow exiting from the first heat exchanger portion and a cold side coolant flow having a higher temperature than the refrigerant flow exiting from the first heat exchanger portion, and an internal heat exchanger portion sandwiched between the first heat exchanger portion and the second heat exchanger portion. The refrigerant flow through the plate type heat exchanger is in non-contact thermal communication with the hot side coolant flow and the cold side coolant flow. The cold side coolant flow transfers heat energy to the refrigerant, which in turn transfer that heat energy to the hot side coolant flow.

A fluid distribution device is disposed in the interior of the first manifold and includes an inlet tube extending along the axis from an inlet end to a distribution end.     摘要: An evaporator for an HVAC system is disclosed wherein an upstream to downstream airflow is directed through the evaporator for inducing a transfer of thermal energy between the airflow and a fluid circulating in the evaporator. The evaporator includes at least two cores adjacent one to the other. Each of the cores defines a core inlet and a core outlet and the cores are arranged such that the core inlet of the first core is positioned at an opposite end from the inlet of the second core. Correspondingly, the outlet of the first core is positioned at an opposite end from the outlet of the second core. The evaporator inlet is in fluid communication with the first core inlet and the second core inlet and the outlet is in fluid communication with the first core outlet and the second core outlet.
