    Abstract: An image processing device reduces power consumption of a backlight by lowering a dimming value through brightness distribution for pixels. The image data processing device includes: an image analyzing circuit configured to analyze original image data on a video image divided into a plurality of regions and calculate a representative brightness value for each region; a dimming value calculating circuit configured to calculate a dimming value for each region in order to adjust the brightness of a backlight according to the representative brightness value; a pixel analyzing circuit configured to analyze brightness distribution for a plurality of pixels in each region; a dimming control circuit configured to re-adjust the dimming value for one region according to the brightness distribution; and a dimming output circuit configured to output, to a backlight driving device, a dimming control signal for driving the backlight according to the dimming value.

    Abstract: Provided are a mura compensation circuit and a driving apparatus for a display applying the same. The mura compensation circuit includes a data remapping unit configured to remap display data of a pixel having mura so that an original gray scale range of the display data has a changed gray scale range and to provide the display data having the gray scale range in which the highest gray scale of the original gray scale range is lowered to a first gray scale of the gray scale range and the lowest gray scale of the original gray scale range is raised to a second gray scale by the remapping, and a mura compensation unit configured to perform mura compensations on the display data having the changed gray scale range and to provide the display data on which the mura compensations have been performed.

    Abstract: A display driving device for improving the definition of an image according to one aspect of the present invention includes a brightness calculator for calculating first brightness data corresponding to a first resolution and second brightness data corresponding to a second resolution less than the first resolution using input image data, an offset calculator for calculating an offset on the basis of the first brightness data and the second brightness data, an input image converter for converting the input image data into input image data to which the calculated offset has been applied, a first data output unit for generating output image data for a first panel using the converted input image data and outputting the generated output image data, and a second data output unit for generating output brightness data for a second panel using the second brightness data and outputting the generated output brightness data.
