Abstract:
A system with a wireless communication device and one or more wearable communication devices utilizing Body coupled communication, BCC, technology for managing digital keys to a lock. The key management system comprises a wireless communication device and at least one wearable communication device, for managing digital keys, wherein the wireless communication device and the wearable communication device are Body Coupled Communication, BCC, enabled. The method comprises receiving, in the wireless communication device, one or more digital keys to a lock from an external server, detecting, in the wireless communication device, one or more wearable communication devices using BCC, sending, using BCC, the one or more digital keys from the wireless communication device to the detected one or more wearable communication devices and receiving, using BCC, the one or more digital keys from the wireless communication device in the one or more wearable communication devices, thereby enabling the wearable communication device to open the lock.
Abstract:
A user of a cellular telephone also has a peripheral device, such as a wristlet or ring, for example, that is worn on, and contacts, the user's body. When the user depresses a user control, such as a power button or other control on the cellular telephone, a Body Area Network (BAN) communication link is established between the cellular telephone and the peripheral device. The BAN link utilizes the user's body as a transmission medium to carry data between the cellular telephone and the peripheral device. Additionally, a passcode stored at the peripheral device is sent to the cellular telephone over the BAN link. If the passcode is valid, the device will bypass a passcode entry screen and unlock the cellular telephone for the user.
Abstract:
The present invention concerns wearable electronic communication devices (100) for control of data transfer in a personal area network. The wearable device is adapted for Body Coupled Communication in close proximity to a person's body. The wearable device comprises an antenna adapted for Body Coupled Communication and a capacitance sensor indicating that the wearable device is in close proximity to the body of the person or even in contact with the body or not. The invention also concerns a portable electronic communication device comprising the inventive wearable device for cooperation with at least a second portable electronic communication device in a personal area network.
Abstract:
A wireless device, such as a mobile device, for example, pairs with a peripheral device, such as a wristlet, for example, worn by the user. One or both of the wireless device and the peripheral device, each of which contact the user's skin, determine whether the other is in contact with the body of the same user. If both devices are in contact with the same body, the devices will pair with each other.
Abstract:
Devices and methods for controlling the functionality of a pair of earbuds. The first earbud establishes a connection between the first earbud and an electronic device, searches for the second earbud of the pair of earbuds using Body Coupled Communication, BCC, and sends a signal from the first earbud to the electronic device including information defining whether the first earbud detected the second earbud during the search. The electronic device receives a signal from the at least one of the earbuds, the signal comprising information defining whether the earbud has detected the other earbud of the pair of earbuds using Body Coupled Communication, BCC, and sends a signal to the at least one earbud wherein the signal is controlled based on the received signal and includes information associated with controlling the functionality of the pair of earbuds.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates generally to a method and a wireless communication device that optimizes communication between devices which is body contact initiated. The method, performed in the wireless communication device comprises pairing with another wireless communication device using a first communication technology, wherein the first communication technology is Body Coupled Communication, BCC, technology, exchanging, between the wireless communication device and the other wireless communication device, using BCC technology, device specific information associated with pairing in a second communication technology and connecting with the other wireless communication device, using the second communication technology, thereby performing a handover from BCC technology to the second communication technology.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method, performed in a Body Area Network (BAN) enabled media experience device for enabling transmission of a media experience according to a stored, predefined user configuration associated with an identification data, userID, of a BAN enabled communication device, the method comprising: establishing a connection between the BAN enabled media experience device and the BAN enabled communication device by using BAN; retrieving the identification data, userID, of the BAN enabled communication device; retrieving the stored, predefined user configuration associated with the userID of the BAN enabled communication device; and initiating transmission of the media experience by the BAN enabled media experience device according to the stored, predefined user configuration.
Abstract:
According to one aspect of the present disclosure, a method is implemented by a mobile computing device to authenticate a user. A first signal indicative of a body tremor of a limb holding the mobile computing device is detected. A second signal indicative of a body tremor of a limb to which a separate wearable computing device is secured is also detected. Based on a comparison of the body tremors, a determination is made as to whether the limbs are the same limb. A user account associated with the wearable computing device is authenticated based on the determining indicating that the limbs are the same limb.
Abstract:
A method, device and system for collecting writing pattern using Body Area Network, BAN, wherein the BAN comprises at least one BAN enabled writing device, e.g. a pen and at least one wearable BAN enabled communication device, e.g. a wristlet, worn by a user, wherein a BAN link is established through the body of the user between the writing device and the communication device, when the user touches the writing device, the writing pattern is created and collected by using the writing device and streamed from the writing device to the wearable device by using the established BAN link.
Abstract:
A method, system and Body Area Network, BAN, enabled communication devices for displaying content of a first BAN enabled communication device on a second BAN enabled communication device are enclosed wherein the method comprising establishing a BAN link through a human body of a user that is wearing the first BAN enabled device, between the first BAN enabled device and a second BAN enabled device, transmitting the content from the first BAN enabled device to the second BAN enabled device by using the established BAN link, and displaying the transmitted content on a Graphical User Interface, GUI, on the second BAN enabled device, when the user touches the second BAN enabled device.
