    摘要: The rate compatible code is formed by forming an m dimensional product code by using a systematic block code in a predetermined number of axes: The m dimensional product code is divided into an information block and 2m−1 parity blocks. Indices are allocated to the divided blocks of the information block and 2m−1 parity blocks. Combinations of the information block and corresponding parity blocks adjacent to the information block are obtained. A first weighting factor w1 for the combinations is estimated and saved. Another parity block adjacent to the saved combination is found and a new combination is formed. The first weighting factor w1 for the new combination is estimated. If there are combinations having the same first weighting factor w1, a second weighting factor w2 for the combinations is estimated and the combinations having a smaller value of w2 are neglected. Rate compatible having the combinations are formed.

    摘要: Provided is a method for forming a rate compatible code using high dimensional product codes and a computer-readable recording medium for recording a program that implements the program. The rate compatible code, which can provide various encoding rates, is formed by discriminating parity blocks and determining a punctured pattern for each parity block, m being more than two. The method includes the steps of: a) forming an m dimensional product code by using a systematic block code; b) dividing the m dimensional product code into an information block and 2m-1 parity blocks; c) allocating indices to the divided blocks of the information block and 2m-1 parity blocks; d) finding all combinations of the information block and the parity blocks which are adjacent to the information block; e) estimating a first weighting factor of w1 for the all combinations; f) if there are first combinations having the same weighting factor w1, estimating a second weighting factor of w2 for the first combinations having the same weighting factor w1 as second combinations; g) selecting a combination having largest weighting factor among the second combinations having the second weighting factor w2; and h) forming rate compatible codes by using the selected combinations based on the w1 and w2.

    摘要: Disclosed is an MC-CDMA scrambling system and method, and a recording medium for storing a program thereof. A transmitter receives user's bit streams, uses a fixed scrambling code, determined according to the user's orthogonal code combinations or the number of users and having a length equal to the number of subcarriers, and generates and outputs multicarrier signals. A receiver uses the scrambling code equal to that used by the transmitter, and receives the multicarrier signals from the transmitter, thereby converting the scrambling codes according to the users' orthogonal code combinations irrespective of user data, and easily reducing the PAPR (peak-to-average power ratio).

The apparatus can vary the user modulation degree and the transmission repetition degree independently, and convert a spreading scheme between the time-based spreading scheme (MC-DS-CDMA) and the frequency-based spreading scheme (MC-CDMA) in a MC-CDMA system. The apparatus includes: a user signal processing unit for performing symbol modulation, repetition and spreading of bit stream for each user based on a transmission mode suitable for channel environment of each user, and generating spread chip streams for the user; a combining unit for adding up all the spread chip streams for the users; a first interleaving unit for interleaving the chip streams added up in the combining unit and generating a first interleaved stream; and a second interleaving unit for optionally performing a second interleaving on the first interleaved stream.

    摘要: Provided are an apparatus for estimating an increment in the number of packets arriving at a transmission queue of each terminal and allocating resources to terminals based on the increment in a Demand Assignment Multiple Access (DAMA) satellite communication system, and a method thereof. The method, includes the steps of: a) comparing a summation of requested time slot quantities of terminals with a total number of available time slots; and b) allocating the time slots as much as the requested time slot quantity to each terminal and allocating remaining time slots additionally in proportion to an estimated increase in the number of packets arriving at a transmission queue of each terminal. The apparatus can raise efficiency of resources allocation in DAMA communications and reduce the packet transmission time in a terminal transmission queue.

The apparatus includes first and second likelihood value calculators for calculating a likelihood value of a received baseband signal each for of BPSK and QPSK modulation modes. A maximum setting unit derives a maximum value of the likelihood values or ith likelihood ratios calculated by the first and second likelihood value calculators. A flag is set for the maximum value to “1” and a flag for the remaining value is set to “0”. First and second flag combining units combine the flags for the modulation modes. A modulation mode flag setting unit selects a maximum value from the flags combined by the first and second flag combining units.
