摘要: The rate compatible code is formed by forming an m dimensional product code by using a systematic block code in a predetermined number of axes: The m dimensional product code is divided into an information block and 2m−1 parity blocks. Indices are allocated to the divided blocks of the information block and 2m−1 parity blocks. Combinations of the information block and corresponding parity blocks adjacent to the information block are obtained. A first weighting factor w1 for the combinations is estimated and saved. Another parity block adjacent to the saved combination is found and a new combination is formed. The first weighting factor w1 for the new combination is estimated. If there are combinations having the same first weighting factor w1, a second weighting factor w2 for the combinations is estimated and the combinations having a smaller value of w2 are neglected. Rate compatible having the combinations are formed.

The method includes the steps of: a) being periodically reported, from mobile stations, of average receiving power levels of beam pilot signals transmitted in a plurality of beams; b) estimating a path gain between beams and the mobile station based on the reported average power levels of beam pilot signals; c) determining priorities for packets to be transmitted to each of the mobile stations; d) selecting a beam requiring the lowest transmission power for transmitting the packet having the highest priority, and allocating the lowest power required for satisfying a predetermined packet reception quality when the packet is transmitted in the selected radio resource, by using the path gain estimated for each of the mobile stations; and e) if the radio resources and/or the transmission power that can be used are not sufficient or if there is a packet to be allocated, performing the step c).

摘要: A log-based FTL and an operating method thereof for improving performances of reading and writing operations to increase the lifetime of a flash memory. In the method, when a reading operation for an LBN and an LPN is requested, a PBN and a PPN corresponding to the LBN and the LPN are calculated with reference to a pagemap corresponding to the LBN. A physical page of a physical block corresponding to the PBN and the PPN is accessed so that a reading operation is performed. On the other hand, when a writing operation for the LBN and the LPN is requested, a PBN and a PPN for a free-page of a physical block last assigned for the LBN are calculated with reference to a blockmap. The physical page of the physical block corresponding to the PBN and the PPN is accessed, so that a writing operation is performed. The pagemap stores a PBN and a PPN, and the blockmap stores a PBN list and a PPN.

摘要: The present invention relates to a gene encoding a protein named as ARIA (armadillo repeat protein interacting with ABF2), which contains armadillo repeats and a BTB/POZ domain. The protein is a novel ABA signaling component, which affects ABA-regulated gene expression, seedling growth, ABA sensitivity, and stress tolerance of plants. Furthermore, the present invention provides a method of producing salt-tolerant plants comprising the introduction of an expression cassette containing the ARIA gene linked to a plant promoter to plants.

摘要: A gallium nitride (GaN) based optical device and a fabrication method thereof are provided. The GaN based optical device includes a substrate, a p-type GaN (p-GaN) layer formed on the substrate, and a p-type ohmic electrode formed on the p-GaN layer, wherein the p-type ohmic electrode is formed of a triple layer comprised of a nickel (Ni) layer, a gold (Au) layer and an indium tin oxide (ITO) layer sequentially formed. The thicknesses of the Ni layer and the Au layer forming the triple layer are smaller than the thickness of the ITO layer. When the p-type ohmic electrode in the GaN based optical device is formed of a triple layer comprised of Ni/Au/ITO, the Ni/Au layers reduce contact resistance and the ITO, which is a transparent, conductive oxide layer, increases transparency and increases luminescence efficiency.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method of reducing complexity in a decoder which uses trellis decoding that can easily reduce the complexity of the decoder as much as required by reducing the paths itself using the statistics of path metric values and the reliability of the received signal. The method comprises first step of determining the reliability of bits received at the current level after initializing the level of the trellis and a flag, second step of determining the paths to be taken into account according to the reliability of received bits and computing and storing information about the determined paths and third step of obtaining the statistics of path metric values and a reference path metric by utilizing the determined path information at the current level, reducing the number of paths, and moving to the next level when total number of paths is larger than the number of maximum paths to be maintained.

摘要: A nucleic acid molecule encoding the Abscisic acid responsive element binding factor 1 (ABF1) was isolated and its nucleotide sequence determined. ABF1 belongs to the ABF family of factors which bind abscisic acid responsive elements in plants. Expression of ABFs is inducible by abscisic acid and various stress treatments. ABFs have the potential to activate a large number of abscisic acid/stress responsive genes and thus a nucleic acid molecule encoding ABF1 can be used to generate transgenic plants that are tolerant to multiple environmental stresses.
